For anyone weighing where to spend Christmas this year, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong, offers an answer few home countries can match. This festive season, the hotel unveils Enchanted Adventure, entailing a dreamlike journey of dazzling lights, immersive experiences and unexpected surprises. Guests and their loved ones are invited to rediscover the joy and curiosity of childhood somewhere entirely new, with a season built around Santa’s Secret Kingdom – including a personalised letter from Santa, sent all the way from the North Pole – an intimate Meet Santa experience in the lobby, and festive stay packages designed for families and friends choosing to make Hong Kong their Christmas destination this year.
At the heart of the season is Santa’s Secret Kingdom, a one-hour immersive family experience built around a mystery only the elves can explain: something has gone wrong with their most treasured Christmas tradition, and this year, every family is called upon to help put it right before Santa’s journey can begin. Hosted across specially themed rooms in the hotel, the adventure moves families between three interactive activities, each led by a different character: a musical game, a paper lantern workshop, and an arts and crafts session complete with a takeaway to bring home. The adventure closes on a private family moment with Santa himself, wrapping up an hour of discovery unlike any Santa’s grotto back home. Registration takes place at the counter on the 5th floor, with tickets priced from HK$648 to HK$748 depending on the date. Tickets go on public sale via Shangri-La Boutique from 3 October, and can also be purchased on the spot.
For a shorter but no less cherished tradition, Meet Santa returns to the hotel lobby from 28 November to 26 December 2026, giving visiting families a keepsake from their Hong Kong Christmas. Each session includes a photograph with Santa, printed and framed, along with a Santa’s gift to take home. Sessions run from 10:00 to 20:30 on weekends and festive days at HK$398 for up to four guests, and from 11:00 to 19:30 on weekdays at HK$358 for up to four guests, with an extra gift set available for HK$160. Tickets are available via Shangri-La Boutique from 2 November, or on the spot at the lobby.
The Enchanted Adventure extends into festive stay packages, offering a reason to build a trip to Hong Kong around Christmas rather than stay home for it. The Questers Enchanted Adventure Christmas Package, available from 6 to 26 December 2026 on the hotel’s award-winning Family Floor, includes a two-night stay in a themed family suite with daily buffet breakfast for up to two adults and two children. Beyond the stay, the package includes a surprise visit from Santa Claus in-suite with family photo time, access to The Pantry’s childcare amenities, access to The Hangout’s all-day grab & go refreshments and evening night caps with a selection of loose play, board games and children’s books, as well as access to the Horizon Club Lounge for daily light breakfast, snacks, and evening cocktails. Guests also enjoy a daily art & craft workshop for two children, a Christmas Chocolate Atelier workshop for two adults and two children, HKD1,000 in hotel credit per stay towards dining or wellness services, and special festive amenities including a YUN WELLNESS festive spray or candle and a homemade gingerbread house or Christmas cookies.
Tickets for Santa’s Secret Kingdom and Meet Santa, along with full details on all festive stay packages, are available via Shangri-La Boutique or by contacting Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong directly.
