Luxury travel advisers have just been handed a much bigger toolbox.

HBX Group and Virtuoso have expanded their long-running Bedsonline partnership from North America to the world, giving Virtuoso member agencies global access to Bedsonline’s hotels, transfers, car hire, experiences and mobility products through one adviser-focused platform.

The agreement was announced on 24 September 2026 and builds on a relationship that began in North America in 2001. The latest deal extends that arrangement worldwide for the first time.

For travel advisers, the appeal is clear. More product can now sit within one booking environment. That may mean fewer systems to search, less time stitching together separate reservations and more scope to build complex luxury itineraries without turning the office into mission control.

Bedsonline also brings serious scale. HBX Group says the platform offers about 300,000 hotels, 23,000 experiences, more than 9,000 transfer routes and access to more than 150 car-rental suppliers, with a footprint extending across more than 170 countries.

Luxury Collection adds some extra polish

The expanded deal also gives Virtuoso agencies access to Bedsonline’s Luxury Collection and support linked to The Luxurist, HBX Group’s premium travel platform.

The Luxurist currently promotes 24-hour concierge support, luxury accommodation, real-time booking capabilities and specialist tools aimed at advisers managing high-value travel. HBX Group says its La Collection portfolio now includes more than 7,000 hotels.

That matters.

The modern luxury client often wants far more than a fine hotel and a polished lobby. A single holiday can involve private transfers, special experiences, several destinations, restaurant reservations, intricate timing and the occasional request that makes an adviser briefly contemplate another profession.

And yet the client expects the whole journey to look effortless.

That means the machinery behind the scenes needs to behave itself.

David Amsellem, Chief Distribution Officer at HBX Group, described the global expansion as one that “marks an important milestone for both organisations”.

He said the wider agreement would bring Bedsonline’s global portfolio, including its Luxury Collection, to Virtuoso advisers worldwide while creating more opportunities for HBX Group’s hotel and travel partners.

Virtuoso Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships, Cory Hagopian, said the company was “thrilled to expand that relationship globally”, pointing to the broader choice of accommodation, experiences, transfers and mobility available through the arrangement.

A formidable luxury travel audience

The reach is substantial.

HBX Group’s announcement says Virtuoso’s global network includes more than 20,000 travel advisers and over 2,800 preferred travel partners. Virtuoso’s current corporate material describes a worldwide agency network spanning more than 50 countries.

For Australia and New Zealand, the development is particularly relevant.

Virtuoso regional material lists more than 1,600 advisers across the two markets, highlighting the size of the luxury-adviser community closer to home.

For Australian advisers, broader Bedsonline access could help when putting together premium journeys across several countries or combining accommodation with transfers, car hire and experiences.

For suppliers, of course, the attraction runs in the opposite direction.

Hotels, experience operators and mobility businesses gain another route into an influential international adviser network and, potentially, the valuable clients those advisers represent.

More choice but advisers still earn their keep

There is one sensible caution.

More inventory does not automatically mean the best deal on every booking.

Travel advisers will still need to compare live rates, availability, commission arrangements, cancellation conditions and preferred-partner benefits before deciding which booking channel deserves the business.

Technology can make the search easier. It cannot yet replace good judgement.

And that is perhaps the more interesting part of this deal.

The luxury travel market is becoming more complex and increasingly experience-led. Clients want trips built around them, not itineraries pulled from a shelf. Advisers therefore need platforms that can handle greater complexity without letting it spill into the client experience.

That is precisely where the expanded HBX Group-Virtuoso partnership fits.

It brings Bedsonline’s sizeable global inventory closer to one of luxury travel’s most influential adviser communities while giving HBX Group’s suppliers a wider path to premium demand.

In luxury travel, the great trick has always been making hard work look easy.

This partnership is designed to give advisers a little more help with the trick.
