Great Rail Journeys (formerly Vacations By Rail) is giving travelers the chance to step inside Britain’s royal story with Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, on its Premium Royal London and Scotland vacation. The seven-day luxury escorted journey brings together some of Britain’s most celebrated royal landmarks, exclusive experiences and firsthand stories from a man who spent more than two decades working within the royal household.
With monthly departures from April through October 2027 and a maximum of just 24 guests per group, the journey offers an intimate way to experience the places that shaped Princess Diana’s life and the wider British monarchy. Travelers will explore Kensington Palace, Diana’s former home, and hear directly from Burrell as he shares personal recollections of royal life. From exclusive royal experiences to an opening ceremony at the Tower of London, the itinerary goes beyond a traditional sightseeing vacation.
Part of Great Rail Journeys’ new Landmark Collection , the vacation combines private access to historic royal residences, First Class rail travel and five-star stays at Brown’s Hotel in London and The Balmoral in Edinburgh.
