A quick one from The Intrepid Foundation and Intrepid Travel that I thought might be of interest ahead of the Blue Dragon Marathon Walk this Sunday.
An anonymous donor has put up $30,000 to double donations to the Walk for the next 48 hours. Every dollar donated will be matched until the pool is exhausted, helping the campaign work towards its $500,000 fundraising target. Find out more here: https://bluedragonwalk.org/

There’s also a nice opportunity for a human-interest story around the Walk. Blue Dragon co-CEO Vi Do Duy is available for interviews this week. Vi was one of the first children helped by Blue Dragon after founder Michael Brosowski met him in Hanoi in 2003, when Vi was working on the streets shining shoes instead of attending school. Michael invited him to an English class, and Vi went on to become one of the first children supported by the organisation, with his mother also employed to help care for the children.
Biheng Zhang, General Manager of The Intrepid Foundation, is also available for commentary on the campaign and the travel industry’s role in supporting Blue Dragon. Intrepid CEO James Thornton and Co-founder Darrell Wade will be completing the walk in New York City this year.
