What if living better didn’t require a complete lifestyle change? Novotel is on a mission to prove that small, simple habits repeated every day, can help people feel healthier, more energised, and more connected.
This September, Novotel is launching the inaugural Novotel Longevity Week – an annual global celebration focused on helping people live longer, fuller and happier lives through realistic daily rituals that fit naturally into everyday routines.
Taking place during the 37th week of the year (7th-13th September 2026), the timing is no coincidence. Improving by just 1% each day compounds into a 37-fold transformation over a year. Week 37 is where that thinking becomes action.
Longevity: A global consumer need
Understanding the increasing importance of longevity in people’s lives, Novotel conducted a global consumer study with 13,000 respondents in 12* countries worldwide.
Novotel’s global longevity study reveals consumers are becoming increasingly focused on their long-term health, with more than seven in ten (71%) saying they are more interested in their future wellbeing than they were five years ago. Yet while people clearly understand the foundations of a healthier life, citing a balanced diet (64%), good-quality sleep (62%) and regular exercise (60%) as the most important factors for longevity, many admit they struggle to put these habits into practice. In fact, three quarters (76%) wish they lived a healthier lifestyle, while almost half say they would like to improve their sleep (45%) and exercise habits (47%).
At the same time, consumers are navigating an increasingly crowded wellness landscape. Two thirds (67%) agree that social media makes it harder to know which health advice to trust, and more than one in three (37%) admit they have followed a sleep trend only to later discover it was not backed by science. Despite this, nearly two thirds (62%) remain confident in their ability to distinguish genuine advice from misinformation online, reaffirming the need for expert insights from the Novotel 37 Collective.
Novotel’s findings also highlight the important role travel can play in supporting wellbeing. More than half (51%) say they feel more relaxed when on holiday, while around one in four report sleeping better than they do at home (24%). The benefits extend beyond the trip itself, with holiday wellbeing boosts lasting an average of almost six days (5.6 days) after returning home.
Commenting on the study, Jean-Yves Minet, Global Brand President, Novotel, said: “These findings reinforce the growing importance of wellbeing as consumers around the world place greater emphasis on longevity, with sleep, health and everyday lifestyle habits increasingly viewed as essential foundations for living longer and living better.
“Against this backdrop, initiatives such as Novotel’s Longevity Week are more important than ever, helping to spotlight the practical, science-backed habits that support long-term wellbeing and empowering people to make small, achievable changes that can have a lasting impact on their health.”

The real question is no longer about living longer; it’s about living better. At Novotel, we believe the answer starts with the smallest of habits, repeated every day. Longevity Week is our invitation to the world to start now.”
Longevity Week marks the beginning of a new annual tradition – a moment for everyone, everywhere, to take one small step toward a longer, fuller life. Because longevity isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress.
