Centered on the theme “Find Your Fall in Virginia,” the microsite encourages visitors to experience more than just colorful leaves by showcasing a wide range of seasonal experiences, including hiking trails, scenic drives, wineries, family attractions, and more.

“Fall is one of the most spectacular times to experience Virginia, and we are thrilled to launch this new resource that helps travelers discover all there is to love across the Commonwealth during the season,” said Rita McClenny, President and CEO of Virginia Tourism Corporation. “Through this collaboration, we’re making it easier than ever for visitors to plan a fall getaway that aligns with their interests, whether that means relaxing with a glass of award-winning wine at a beautiful vineyard, exploring one of our charming downtowns, or hiking a scenic trail in one of Virginia’s 44 state parks.”

The new interactive microsite features regional trip ideas, scenic driving routes, curated itineraries, and peak foliage maps to help visitors make the most of fall in Virginia.

“Fall is a spectacular time to experience a Virginia State Park,” said Nikki Rovner, Director of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation. “As the colors change from the mountains to the shorelines, visitors can explore the beauty we work every day to protect. Whether you’re hiking, camping or simply taking in the views, there’s no better place to plan your fall adventure.”

Expert insights from the Virginia Department of Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service provide visitors with timely foliage reports and guidance on exploring Virginia’s forests and public lands, helping travelers make the most of the limited window for peak autumn colors.

“From hickories and birches in Virginia’s mountains, to tupelos and cypress trees in Tidewater, the Commonwealth’s varied geography and remarkable forest diversity offer a breathtaking fall experience that few other states can rival,” said State Forester Terry Lasher. “DOF is delighted to partner with the Virginia Tourism Corporation and Virginia State Parks to encourage visitors and locals alike to get out and explore the vibrant and ever-changing landscape that Virginia’s forests have to offer.”

Whether planning a romantic weekend, a family getaway, an outdoor adventure, or a multi-generational vacation, travelers can use the microsite to discover seasonal experiences tailored to their interests.
