African Sun is sharpening Zimbabwe’s 2027 safari sell. The hotel group has unveiled new two- and three-night Signature Stay packages at Hwange Safari Lodge. It has also released international rates across its wider hotel portfolio.

For travel advisors, the new packages make Hwange easier to sell. They bring meals, transfers, guided game drives, Wi-Fi and a 60-minute hot stone massage into one price. There is still dust on the tyres, naturally. But someone has remembered the spa robe.

The Signature Stays are valid from 1 January to 31 December 2027 and are priced in US dollars. African Sun divides the year into two periods. Green season runs from 1 January to 30 April and again from 1 November to 31 December. High season covers 1 May to 31 October.

The two-night green-season package starts at US$1,273 for a single guest in a Deluxe Room. The double rate is US$1,902. In high season, those prices rise to US$1,319 for a single and US$1,930 for a double.

Deluxe Suites and Executive Suites are also offered. The highest two-night price is the Executive Suite in high season, at US$2,189 single or US$2,614 double.

The three-night option includes an additional night and more meals. A Deluxe Room starts at US$1,567 for single occupancy or US$2,368 for double occupancy in the green season. High-season rates are US$1,636 single and US$2,410 double. At the top end, the high-season Executive Suite costs US$2,941 for a single or US$3,436 for a double.

The value is not just in the room. Both Signature Stay packages include bed-and-breakfast accommodation at Hwange Safari Lodge. They also include return seat-in-coach transfers from Victoria Falls.

Guests receive three safari experiences. There is one morning three-hour guided game drive, one afternoon three-hour guided game drive and one full-day guided game drive with lunch. Complimentary Wi-Fi and a 60-minute hot stone massage are also included.

The two-night package includes one lunch and two dinners. The three-night package includes two lunches and three dinners.

Agents should also read the exclusions carefully. Hwange National Park fees are not included. Visas, personal costs and any charges not listed in the inclusions are also excluded. The transfer requires at least two passengers. As a result, single travellers attract a supplement.

African Sun also states that unused services are nonrefundable. Standard terms and conditions apply. Rates may change if legislation changes.

A separate 2027 international rate sheet gives standard room prices for Hwange Safari Lodge and the group’s other hotels. At Hwange, a Deluxe Room on a bed-and-breakfast basis starts at US$224 single and US$326 double in the green season. In high season, it rises to US$247 for a single and US$341 for a double.

Full-board rates are also available. They include accommodation, meals and one three-hour game-drive activity per day. Beverages and national park fees are excluded.

The wider rate card also covers Elephant Hills Resort and Conference Centre, Holiday Inn Harare, Holiday Inn Bulawayo, Holiday Inn Mutare, Troutbeck Resort and Blue Swallow Lodges. The published rates include tourism levy and VAT. They are generally per room, per night, on a bed-and-breakfast basis. African Sun notes that rates may change without notice.

There is also an early-year sweetener. Hwange Safari Lodge and Elephant Hills both carry a “Pay 2 Stay 3” offer from 6 January to 31 March 2027 for FIT business.

Elephant Hills adds another practical touch. It runs a complimentary scheduled shuttle between the resort, Victoria Falls town and the Falls. The service operates every hour from 9 am to 9 pm.

The safari setting does much of the selling. Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority says Hwange is the country’s largest national park, covering 14,650 square kilometres. It highlights the park’s elephant population, endangered wild dogs and broad mix of mammal and bird life.

For the travel trade, though, the stronger story is the packaging. African Sun is not simply publishing a room rate and leaving agents to build the rest. The Signature Stays bring transport, meals, wildlife viewing and wellness into one clear product.

That makes the offer easier to explain and easier to compare. It also gives travellers more certainty before they arrive.

The lions may still ignore the itinerary. Everyone else now has one.
