Manly Pacific, one of Sydney’s most recognisable beachfront hotels, will transition this August to the luxury Elysium Manly, the second property from the emerging Australian hospitality brand and its first in Sydney.

Elysium has been conceived as a sanctuary for those seeking more than escape. The brand defines luxury as the thoughtful orchestration of space, time and care, expressed through refined design, curated dining and an intuitive, guest-led approach to service. Since its debut in Noosa, Elysium has established a distinct point of view on luxury hospitality, shaped by a subtle European sensibility and global appeal.

The transition reflects the continued evolution of the property, building on the significant investment and momentum already established across the hotel. In 2025, the hotel completed a transformation valued at close to $40 million, including a $30 million refurbishment of its guestrooms and suites led by Coco Republic, bringing the design house’s distinctive approach to luxury living to one of Sydney’s most recognisable beachfront destinations.

The investment also included the $8.5 million creation of Cibaria, the acclaimed Italian restaurant by Alessandro and Anna Pavoni, designed by award-winning interiors studio Luchetti Krelle. Since these enhancements were introduced, the hotel has recorded its strongest occupancy, average daily rate and revenue performance to date, while Cibaria has quickly established itself as one of Sydney’s leading dining destinations, earning a Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Hat and attracting both local and international guests. Together, these investments have reinforced Manly Pacific’s position as one of Sydney’s leading hotels, providing a strong foundation for its transition to Elysium.

Elysium Manly will continue to operate under the leadership of General Manager, Dylan Cole, ensuring continuity for guests, partners and team.

“Manly Pacific has built a strong reputation as one of Sydney’s most iconic hotels in the Australian landscape, and this next chapter allows us to build on that foundation with a more considered expression of coastal luxury,” said Cole.

“The investment made across accommodation, design, dining and service has transformed the guest experience. Elysium brings those elements together under a singular vision, while continuing to deliver the warmth, authenticity and sense of place that our guests value most.  Our guest focus remains the same: delivering a seamless, high-quality experience while refining the details that make a stay here truly meaningful,” Cole continued.

Positioned in Manly, just a short drive or ferry ride from Sydney’s CBD, Manly Pacific occupies a unique position within Sydney’s hotel landscape, combining absolute beachfront access with proximity to one of the world’s most recognisable harbour cities. Its next chapter will see the integration of Elysium’s hospitality philosophy, bringing a more considered approach to how guests experience the hotel at every touchpoint.

With the recent interior refurbishment by Coco Republic, the hotel’s design will remain, complemented by a series of thoughtful enhancements that further elevate the guest experience. In-room amenities will align with the Elysium standard, drawing on some of the world’s most respected luxury and wellness brands, from Parisian house Hermès and renowned British spa authority ESPA to Australian skincare innovator Grown Alchemist.

Beyond the guest rooms, Elysium’s sensory signatures will be woven throughout the property, including bespoke floral installations curated by celebrated florist Saskia Havekes of Grandiflora, a distinctive fragrance designed to create a lasting sense of arrival, and a carefully considered soundscape developed by music curator Mitchell Wick that evolves throughout the day. Together, these details create a richer and more immersive guest experience, reflecting Elysium’s belief that true luxury is found in the details guests remember long after their stay.

This evolution comes at a time when luxury travellers are increasingly seeking highly personalised experiences, distinctive destinations and a deeper connection to place, trends that continue to shape Elysium’s approach to hospitality.

For Elysium, the arrival in Sydney represents the next stage of the brand’s growth following its launch in Noosa, establishing a presence in one of Australia’s most sought-after beachfront destinations. For guests, the transition will be seamless, with all existing bookings honoured and the core offering of the hotel remaining intact while introducing a series of considered enhancements designed to further enrich the guest experience.

More details will be shared in the lead up to the August launch.
