G Adventures has unveiled new marketing activity focused on East Africa, partnering with Channel 9 on a dedicated Tanzania episode of Travel Guides and launching two new bookable itineraries inspired by experiences featured in the program.

Airing nationally on Channel 9 tonight (29 June), the dedicated Travel Guides episode follows the cast through Tanzania, showcasing G Adventures’ signature community tourism philosophy alongside wildlife and cultural encounters. The campaign is expected to drive increased enquiries and bookings for Africa among Australian travellers while creating new sales opportunities for travel agents through national consumer exposure, dedicated marketing support and new itineraries allowing travellers to experience all of the activities featured in the program.

The new 12-day ‘Serengeti Safari & Zanzibar’ tour travels from Arusha to Stone Town. Travellers will share lunch with local women and visit the Clean Cookstove Project – both Planeterra community tourism projects, as well as visit local markets and artisan shops in the local Tanzanian community of Mto wa Mbu and embark on safari drives through Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.

Joining G Adventures’ Geluxe Collection, the 10-day Tanzania & Zanzibar: The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Island Shores combines premium active adventure with one-of-a-kind accommodations. Travelling from Arusha to Stone Town, guests will embark on safari drives through Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, with a choice of additional wildlife, biking, walking or cultural experiences along the way. A highlight is a two-night stay at Serengeti Tortillis Camps, an intimate luxury safari camp in the heart of Serengeti National Park offering immersive wilderness experiences.

Adelle Clements, regional marketing manager, G Adventures commented: “Witnessing once-in-a-lifetime safari encounters and the welcoming hospitality of East African communities and cultures remains one of the world’s most transformational travel experiences.

“Africa continues to be one of the fastest-growing long-haul destinations for Australian travellers. This is the largest investment we’ve made in showcasing the region to Aussies and gives agents a unique opportunity to convert national consumer inspiration into bookings through two new itineraries.”
