Tasmania’s wildlife comes into its own this Off Season, with a collection of winter-only experiences offering travellers the chance to get up-close with some of the island’s most unique and loved animals.
From hand-feeding Tasmanian devils, meeting tawny frogmouths and watching penguins waddle ashore after dark, to joining guided night tours, tracking down an elusive goat and spending time with joey devils, wombats and quolls, these experiences reveal a side of Tasmania’s wildlife rarely seen during the rest of the year. Many are led by the people who know these animals best, with keepers, guides and conservationists sharing stories and insights along the way.
