The 8th annual Samui Open Beach Volleyball Tournament will be held on Koh Samui, Thailand 26-29 March 2026 at Central Festival Samui on Chaweng Beach. Promising to be a thrilling sporng event, the internaonal tournament will be a big boost for Sports-Tourism for Southern Thailand & Koh Samui.
The now fully registered tournament will see 90 teams with 130 athletes and 25 countries represented from
Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, Australia and Asia, with 80% of the athletes from overseas and
20% Thai and Foreign Naonal. Top-er teams, including Olympians and European Champions will be compeng for 100,000THB in prize money to be awarded to tournament winners along with trophies, medals, sponsor vouchers, volleyball gear and apparel.
The internaonal event, the biggest event of its type to date, is presented by Tourism Authority Thailand Samui (TAT), hosted by Central Fesval Samui, organized by Biggs Island Producons (BIP) and supported by Koh Samui Municipality.
Tourism Authority Thailand Director Miss Nitharat Vanitcharoen enthuses, “We are proud to promote beach volleyball in South East Asia and on Koh Samui and to hold this annual event on our beauful island”. The 2026 Beach Volleyball Tournament will have excing play covering three days with teams compeng in four divisions (Men’s 2X2, Women’s 2X2, Mix 2X2 and Quads 4X4).
Spectators can enjoy Free Entry for all three days and be entertained by professional and amazing beach volleyball play, concession stands, aer-pares, volleyball merchandise and DJ. The tournament dates & mes are 27-29 March from 09:00-21:00 daily with the semi-finals and finals starng 29 March from 13:00 at Central Fesval Samui. The Tournament will finish on 29 March at 21:00, followed by a ‘Thank You’ party at Central Fesval Samui.
