Following a successful launch in 2025, Jackalope Cinema, Presented by Lexus, returns to Jackalope Hotel for the month of March, transforming the hotel’s vineyard into an open-air stage for a program of acclaimed films and cinematic classics, curated by Jackalope Founder Louis Li. Blending the Mornington Peninsula’s natural beauty with Jackalope’s signature flair for storytelling, the cinema offers guests a unique addition to their inclusive on-property experience.

Created in partnership with Lexus and set against the hotel’s tranquil infinity pool, hotel guests will immerse themselves in the magic of cinema under the stars, indulging in a curated menu of nostalgic dishes and elevated cocktails, alongside a bottomless offering of popcorn and house-made ice cream. Guests can settle in for the evening on Jackalope’s iconic pool deck, while those with Vineyard-facing rooms can enjoy the cinema experience from the comfort of their private terrace.

“Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do at Jackalope, whether through design or hospitality, and Jackalope Cinema is the perfect extension of this ethos. Film is something I am passionate about, having studied it before venturing into design and hospitality, and I’m delighted to share some of my favourite films with our guests,” said Louis Li, Founder of Jackalope, on the return of Jackalope Cinema.

The 2026 Jackalope Cinema program showcases a considered selection of acclaimed films and timeless classics, curated by Jackalope Founder Louis Li. Program highlights include Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a nostalgic ode to 1960s Los Angeles; Conclave, a gripping political thriller set within the secretive world of the Vatican; the enduring romance Breakfast at Tiffany’s; and Ang Lee’s visually striking Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Jackalope Hotel and Lexus Australia have a long-standing relationship as the hotel’s luxury car partner since its opening in 2017. Hotel guests wishing to explore the region in comfort and style within a 10km radius of the hotel can be chauffeured in one of the Lexus RX 500h F Sport Performance SUVs. These vehicles are proudly displayed alongside the 7-metre-high Jackalope sculpture by local artist Emily Floyd. In addition, Lexus Encore members enjoy luxury benefits during their stay, including complimentary champagne upon arrival, early check-in/late check-out, and more.

Lexus Australia General Manager Wayne Gabriel says “Lexus has always been guided by a passion for innovation, craftsmanship and creating exceptional experiences. These values align seamlessly with our partnership with Jackalope. As we deepen our collaboration, we’re excited to make luxury even more personal for cinema lovers and hotel guests alike – bringing together the art of film and the warmth of Japanese hospitality.”

Jackalope Cinema, Presented by Lexus will be available to all in-house guests, at no additional cost. Rates for overnight stays start from $729 for a Terrace Room, with several room options available throughout the month of March 2026.
