Spread the love

This year’s festive season at The Rome EDITION is shaped by a blend of art, conviviality, and culinary excellence.

Displayed in the hotel’s entrance, guests can admire the hotel’s iconic festive tree designed by Milan-based artist, Sara Riccardi. Crafted in collaboration with Antica Fabbrica Passamanerie Massia Vittorio, the storied Turin workshop founded in 1843, the installation follows EDITION tradition with previous partnerships by Dylan Tripp and Jacopo Ascari. This year, a refined textile composition features cascading fringes in warm red to burgundy which surround aluminium rods that emit melodic vibrations, inviting guests into an experience that engages sight, sound and touch as they enter the lobby.

I wanted to create a tree that wasn’t just to be looked at, but to be experienced,” explains Sara Ricciardi. “An architecture of sounds, vibrations, and textiles that invites people to pause, touch, listen, and perceive themselves as part of a shared resonance. A collective gesture, simple and precious, that celebrates human connection.”

For lovers of Italy’s most symbolic festive treat, the property is introducing three varieties of artisanal panettone created by Pastry Chef, Guila Zarattini: the Classic, faithful to tradition; the Three Chocolates, offering a rich and enveloping flavour; and the Apple and Cinnamon, a tribute to the warm, spiced aromas of winter. Each panettone is a result of slow leavening, carefully selected ingredients, creating a dessert that encapsulates the memory of Italian holiday traditions with a contemporary, refined touch. Each panettone will be available at the hotel from early December starting from 45€.

The festivities continue at Punch Room – the award-winning speakeasy style bar concept that follows EDITION’s signature brand ethos, balancing tradition with contemporary elegance. Throughout December, a Festive Punch tasting will be offered to guests, expertly crafted by Bar Manager, Riccardo Di Dio Masa. The punch will follow a classic cocktail structure of five components: sugar for sweetness, sour elements for brightness, a bitter note, the strength of spirit and the depth of infusions.

Under the expert direction of Executive Chef Antonio Gentile, The Rome EDITION will be offering an exclusive menu for Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Lunch, with each featuring a selection of reimagined traditional Italian dishes and prepared using high-quality local ingredients. Highlights include Paglia e fieno with smoked guinea fowl ragout, mushrooms, bay leaf and Red Mullet in red prawn broth with brussel sprouts. Other timeless dishes include Cappelletti in capon both and Beef braised in Barolo served with roasted cauliflower, hazelnuts and prized black truffle.
