From the espresso bars of Milan to the streets of Sydney, Bar Allora brings a slice of 1980s Italy to Bond Street.
Opening Tuesday 11 November, the all-day Italian bar and restaurant marks the first collaboration between Table For – Accor’s new in-house food and beverage group – and award-winning hospitality innovators The Maybe Group.
Bar Allora moves with the rhythm of Milan: fast-paced in the morning, social and sultry by night. Guests can grab a quick espresso and bombolone from the street-facing window, meet for a long lunch over a Negroni, or linger into the evening as the lights dim and the music swells.
Designed as a love letter to 1980s Milan, the space channels the futurist glamour of the era – neon accents, terrazzo floors, mirrored brass and a bar that hums from sunrise to midnight.
“Ten years on from opening Maybe Frank, we wanted to return to our roots with a true Italian experience,” said Vince Lombardo, Co-Founder and Director of The Maybe Group. “Bar Allora captures the energy, culture and connection at the heart of Italian hospitality, authentic flavours delivered with a joyful, modern twist. Every detail has been designed to feel vibrant, welcoming and unmistakably Italian.”
At the helm is Chef Rosy Scatigna, Table For’s Culinary Director, alongside Head Chef Josh Donachie (Jane, Jackson’s on George, RE). Together, they’ve crafted a menu that nods to Milan’s post-war dining boom when southern Italian immigrants brought warmth and soul to the city’s food scene, heavily influencing the menu.
Mornings begin with Italian flair – cornetti and paninis from the counter, or breakfast plates like the Allora Frittata with burrata and salsa verde, best enjoyed with an espresso at the bar or on the go from the street-facing window.

As lunch rolls in, the all-day menu takes centre stage with vibrant plates that balance pace and pleasure – spaghettone with anchovy butter and lemon pangrattato, wagyu tagliata with rocket salsa verde, or agnolotti with cotechino sausage and cime di rapa.
“For me, Italian cooking is about contrast – elegance and comfort, sophistication and soul,” says Chef Rosy Scatigna. “We’ve taken those foundations and given them a modern rhythm – food that feels both familiar and new.”
Bar Allora’s cocktail list celebrates the art of the aperitivo – fresh, flavourful, and designed for connection. Standouts include the Americaniello (Campari, Oscar Rosso Vermouth, lemon myrtle liqueur, mango soda water) and the Allora Negroni (Gin, Campari, Oloroso Sherry, Pandan, Pineapple).
As the night progresses, the mood shifts toward indulgence – Pistachio Grasshoppers with salted pistachio cream, or a brandy-spiked Shakerato, paired with Italian sodas and a sharp list of local and imported wines.
