Sri Lanka’s Fort Bazaar has unveiled 8 Leyn Baan, an exclusive new studio 150 metres from the main hotel.
Set within the original cluster of historic lawyers’ chambers on Leyn Baan Street, dating back to the 1600s, this private, split-level studio blends contemporary design with the rich heritage of Galle Fort, offering guests a stylish and intimate escape.
Framed by panoramic views of the Fort’s iconic banyan tree, 8 Leyn Baan is an artistic sanctuary that captures the essence of the living Fort – serene, storied and full of character.
The accommodation has been reimagined to evoke a glamorous yet artistic vibe for active couples on the move.
The interiors feature bold local art, a skylight above the loft-styled bedroom, and a striking rattan lampshade that drops from the loft to the ground-floor living room.8 Leyn Baan 3.
The bedroom has a king-size bed with built-in luggage space, air conditioning and an ensuite rain shower.
Downstairs is a beautifully proportioned open-plan pantry, dining and living space, which opens onto a private terrace with teak lounge chairs to soak up views of the Fort.
Guests also have access to Fort Bazaar for meals, cocktails and complimentary use of the new 14-metre swimming pool, which opened last December.
8 Leyn Baan is priced from USD300 per night per room for two people.
For bookings received a minimum of three months before stays until 30 April 2026, an Early Bird Offer of up to 20 per cent discount will apply.
