In a dazzling display of Pacific pride and tourism tenacity, the Treasures of the South Pacific (ToSP) Roadshow is back—and it’s bringing more than just leis and lanyards this time. With an upgraded itinerary, 11 participating tourism offices, and a fresh face in the crowd—Tonga—this year’s event promises to be as colourful and captivating as a Fijian sunset.
Set to roll out across five major Australian cities from August to early September 2025, the much-loved roadshow offers travel agents a rare opportunity to engage directly with tourism reps from some of the South Pacific’s most enchanting corners. And in true island style, there’ll be storytelling, cultural snapshots, giveaways, and more than a few cheeky surprises.
New Year, New Nation
For the first time, Tonga has joined the fold, adding its unique blend of royal heritage, coral-ringed islands, and warm hospitality. That brings the full cast to 11 Pacific destinations—Norfolk Island, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, Cook Islands, Niue, Tahiti, Palau, and now Tonga—plus a few hidden gems that are yet to reveal themselves.
And yes, the Tongan dancing is expected to bring the house down before you ask. Grass skirts at the ready.
The Pacific Comes to Australia
Backed by Fiji Airways as the major sponsor—and with support from the Pacific Tourism Organisation and Pacific Trade Invest Australia—this year’s roadshow is not just another travel event. It’s a cultural calling card, an open invitation for agents to immerse themselves in the stories, faces, and future of Pacific travel.
Attendees can expect a warm welcome (with drinks and nibbles, naturally) at each stop:
-
Brisbane – Monday 18 August
-
Melbourne – Tuesday 19 August
-
Adelaide – Wednesday 20 August
-
Sydney – Tuesday 2 September
-
Newcastle – Wednesday 3 September
Events will run from 5:45 pm to 8:30 pm, just long enough to fall in love with the islands but not so long you miss your evening Netflix fix.
A Roadshow Worth RSVPing For
With limited numbers, the organisers encourage travel agents to reserve their places early. These events have a habit of filling up faster than a beachfront bar at sunset.
