Unforgettable Croatia - LogoLuxury small-ship cruise operator Unforgettable Croatia has added a new member to its rapidly expanding Australian team.

Carmela Pascuzzi has joined Aurore Bertomeu as a European Travel Specialist in the Australian office, which opened in Melbourne last year in response to growing demand down under.

The duo will work alongside Business Development Manager Sarah Whitty who has been representing Unforgettable Croatia in Australia for the past seven years at The Hotel Connection and rounds out the local team.

Carmela comes to the role with more than 20 years’ experience in the travel industry across Qantas Holidays, Qantas Business Travel, All Abroad Travel, Ben Tours, Wedding Destinations, Mirabella Travel and Flight Centre.

“I’m passionate about travel and love working with different cultures. I’m so excited about the opportunity to spend my days immersed in Croatia. It is such a beautiful part of the world and a place that is very appealing to Australians, so I am delighted to be joining the Unforgettable Croatia team to help more people experience the best of this region on a small ship cruise or bespoke land and cruise tour,” Carmela said.

Unforgettable Croatia co-founder Graham Carter said he was thrilled to have such a passionate and experienced travel representative join the team.

“Over the past two years Australia has been steadily growing to the point that one in five of our guests is from this market. And with Australian bookings up 27% and revenue up 39% year-on-year, Carmela joins the team at an exciting time. With Carmela, Aurore and Sarah working together, we will be in a great position to cater to this growing demand and better support our travel agent partners,” Graham said.

Carmela started with Unforgettable Croatia on April 23, shortly after the release of the 2026 program which features 144 guaranteed departures across eight itineraries and eight ships, including the newest member of the fleet 36-guest MS Aretis.

With 95% of 2025 cruises already sold, Carmela will largely focus on 2026 sailings and the company’s cruise and land tour packages, which combine a seven-night luxury small ship cruise with private land tours in Croatia and neighbouring countries such as Slovenia and Montenegro.

The Australian expansion follows the opening of a new office in Cape Town, South Africa, which will be a hub for growing global teams, offering support in areas such as client services and product development.

With the addition of Melbourne last year and Cape Town this year, there are now six Unforgettable Travel offices based around the world, also including New York, Athens, Split, and the London headquarters.
