Will Robinson’s ‘Thailand Amazing Thailand’ Film Premieres in Bangkok.
During the launch at the fabulous Hyatt Regency hotel in Bangkok, guests were treated to Will Robinson’s latest creation from his ‘Isan Project’—a cinematic feast for the soul. The private screening luncheon showcased Robinson’s new film, Thailand Amazing Thailand, launched alongside former Minister of Tourism and Sports Weerasak Kowsurat.
Will Robinson’s film features thrilling adventures and outstanding music, highlighting some of Thailand’s most stunning sights.
During the event, guests shared their impressions of Robinson’s hard work and dedication. Many remarked on their connection to his music and his love for Thailand. They praised his breathtaking portrayal of the country’s many beautiful locations, colourful festivals, and rich traditions, all captured in his work. This remarkable film marks The Isan Project’s 10th anniversary.
Timed to mark the ten-year milestone, the new film follows Robinson on an incredible journey through Thailand, where he merges handmade Thai instruments with Western beats. The British producer ventured to the North East of Thailand in search of Isan sounds, leading to the creation of The Isan Project. Through discovering authentic Thai music, he collaborated with over 500 people, even bringing Isan dancing to the streets of New York.
His epic journey showcases some of the breathtaking locations he explored. It features several of the 25 songs he has written and recorded, including This Is the Moment, Flowers of Thailand, I Love Isan, Where the Eagles Fly, Amazing Thailand Dance with Me, and the popular Thailand Amazing Thailand.
Commenting on the project, Weerasak Kowsurat said: “Thailand’s tourism has always been celebrated for its beauty through the eyes and the delicious taste of Thai local foods. Khun Will Robinson adds our local music and instrument sounds, creating beautifully mixed songs to reflect his feelings and experiences from many decades in Thailand. This is truly amazing, and we are so proud of these results that elevate our spirits to new heights.”
Will Robinson added: “Over the last 10 years, I’ve discovered what happiness truly is. I’m planning another ten years filled with so much to look forward to, many things to enjoy, and the best food in the world. Thank you, Thailand, and the amazing people who helped me write and record music and create these films. I especially want to thank Daniel Ryan, Erik Hargrove, Sonna Rele, Errol Reid, Ted Nilsson, Livingstone Brown, Mr Tae, Pui Duangpon, and Pongpitan Tuwatchai.”
The new film, Thailand Amazing Thailand, described by some as a legacy of The Isan Project, is available on the project’s YouTube channel, The Isan Project.
