This holiday season, Avoca, the award-winning cocktail bar in Tsim Tsa Tsui, unveils its inaugural holiday menus, showcasing a creative blend of time-honoured Christmas staples from around the world with imaginative Asian and local Hong Kong twists true to the bar’s signature inventive spirit. Available on December 24 and 25 for Dinner, December 25 and 26 for brunch and throughout the month for lunch, the menus are designed for gathering and celebrating the end of year with free-flow cocktails from Avoca’s award-winning programme included as part of the festive package.

Christmas Eve & Day Dinner
Avoca’s dinner menu reimagines holiday classics from around the world, enhanced with Asian influences and free-flow cocktails for a festive feast you won’t have anywhere else in Hong Kong. Starters include Salted Mackerel Potato Salad, a Christmas dish hailing from Portugal but now incorporating Japanese mentaiko for a rich depth of flavour, with crispy fish floss adding texture and a local Hong Kong twist. Another highlight is the Seafood Tartare on Shell, which pays homage to French holiday seafood platters, redefined with house-made XO sauce and ponzu dressing, bringing a zesty, umami-forward note. Meanwhile, the Japanese Spicy Karaage Chicken Waffle reflects a playful nod to Japan’s love of fried chicken during the holidays, served atop sesame soy maple syrup-infused waffles—a festive East meets West update to a signature Avoca dish.
For the main course, standout options include the Roasted & Stuffed Yellow Chicken, Avoca’s homage to Britain’s stuffed Christmas turkey, but instead with a plump yellow chicken full of chicken mousse, chestnuts, and mushrooms, paired with sautéed cauliflower fungus and sand ginger sauce. Barbecued Surf & Turf brings a touch of summery New Zealand celebrations to the plate, with lobsters and prawns marinated in vibrant green fish sauce alongside tender beef striploin. Another creative Christmas interpretation can be found in the Roasted Spiced Duck Breast, which takes on Germany’s tradition of roasted goose with the addition of Asian-inspired spring rolls made from the duck’s legs, ensuring no part of the bird is wasted. Vegetarian diners will enjoy the Sweet Corn Fragrant Rice Wrap, an ode to Mexico and Latin America’s festive tamales but in a unique fried rice style, wrapped in banana leaves and infused with smoky, spiced maize dough and creamy jack cheese.
Dinner desserts evoke a similar nostalgic charm while embracing local flavours. Traditional German stollen is paired with Shaoxing wine gelato, and a Pandan Log Cake reinterprets the French bûche de Noël with layers of pandan sponge, chocolate ganache, and coconut cream, creating a sweet finale that bridges continents.
Christmas & Boxing Day Brunch
For Festive Brunch, a generous selection of unlimited starters sets the stage, including the festive Mozzarella Grapefruit Tomato Salad, the fan favourite Salmon Tataki with ponzu dressing, and Oyster Stew with crispy crumbed oysters. Main course options range from hearty Moroccan style Braised Lamb Shank with a warming hazelnut crumble to the rich Angus Beef Two Ways, served with winter vegetables and truffle-infused jus. For a lighter touch, the Seared Seabream combines delicate flavours of lobster sauce and crown daisy velouté.
In keeping with Avoca’s award-winning cocktail program, both dinner and brunch menus include free-flow cocktails for the duration of the meal, spotlighting creations that embrace the season’s spirit. Guests can enjoy on three festive exclusives like the Hua Diao Mandarin Mulled Wine, a warming blend of red wine, Chinese spices, and mandarin, or also pick from five signature drinks from Avoca’s award-winning cocktail programme such as the Lap Yuk Old Fashioned, a bold mix of bourbon infused with Chinese bacon and cantaloupe molasses.
