Santa’s fairy village from Finland also gets a makeover for Christmas. Everywhere is adorned with dazzling snowflowers, lights, and photo zones, making it irresistible not to take photos.
Chilled hands from photo-taking can be warmed by the campfires, placed from the entrance to the hotel. Sitting quietly by the fire, one can feel worries evaporating with the heat. Children are busy roasting marshmallows. If the past had the sentiment of roasted sweet potatoes, now it’s about stretching white marshmallows. Groups gather, sharing warmth and happiness regardless of age or nationality.
Indoor experiences that satisfy all senses double the fun. On December 7th, the real Santa from Finland’s village visits HEI Schools Club Nami Island. He will read letters sent by children before Christmas and prepare gifts for the next year. Children are already counting down the days in anticipation. There will also be a time to make delicious food and Christmas decorations, filling the day. Children under 13 can apply to meet Santa, so hurry. Additionally, HEI Schools Club Nami Island offers wellness programs for adults too, and from December, Tea House Chadam will start ‘Tea Class’ to heal both body and mind.
As you walk, various street foods await. Biting into freshly steamed buns, chewy rice cakes, chicken skewers, butter-grilled corn and hotteck(Korean sweet pancake), every step is a temptation. Cafes offer warming vin chaud and winter snacks like croffles.
