Fiji Airways’ new direct service, starting in December 2024, connects travellers to 247 additional destinations via Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

In a landmark announcement, Fiji Airways has revealed the inauguration of its first-ever non-stop flights connecting Nadi, Fiji, to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, USA. This historic route, slated to commence in December 2024, promises to significantly enhance travel options and connectivity for passengers across the globe.

Unprecedented Connectivity and Comfort

Operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the 13-hour direct flight will be serviced by Fiji Airways’ cutting-edge Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft. The aircraft boasts an impressive configuration of 301 economy class seats, recognized as the “Best Economy Class” in Australia and Pacific at the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards 2024, alongside 33 business class seats featuring lie-flat, all-aisle access.

The inaugural flight is scheduled for December 10, 2024, and special introductory fares are now available on the Fiji Airways website, fijiairways.com.

Strategic Expansion and Enhanced Travel Options

Andre Viljoen, Fiji Airways Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director expressed his excitement about the new route: “Introducing a direct service between Fiji and Dallas is a significant milestone for Fiji Airways. This new connection underscores our commitment to expanding Fiji’s reach to the United States and beyond, offering our guests more travel options and greater convenience.”

This new service complements Fiji Airways’ recent initiatives, including plans to join the American Airlines AAdvantage® loyalty program and become a full oneworld alliance member by 2025. These developments will allow American Airlines AAdvantage® and oneworld members to earn and redeem frequent flyer miles and status credits when flying with Fiji Airways, further enhancing travel experiences and connectivity.

“The Fiji-Dallas service will make it easier than ever for North Americans and AAdvantage members to explore the South Pacific, adding over 1,000 seats weekly from North America to the pristine shores of Fiji,” added Viljoen.

Celebratory Fares and Expanding Markets

To celebrate the route’s launch, Fiji Airways has rolled out special introductory return fares between Fiji and Dallas, with prices starting from AUD 1,599 from Australia and NZD 1,199 from New Zealand. These fares are available on the Fiji Airways website or through preferred travel agents, and terms and conditions are applicable.

Dallas will become Fiji Airways’ 24th international direct destination and the fifth in North America, joining Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Vancouver. At the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards 2024, Fiji Airways was named Skytrax Best Airline in Australia & the Pacific and received accolades for Best Airline Staff, Best Cabin Crew, Best Economy Class, and Best Business Class Onboard Catering in the region.
