Etraveli - logoIn a significant step to combat fraud in the travel industry, Etraveli Group and Outpayce from Amadeus have announced a new partnership. This collaboration aims to provide airlines and other travel stakeholders with an advanced fraud prevention solution through Outpayce’s Xchange Payment Platform.

Leveraging over 20 years of experience and world-leading fintech capabilities, Etraveli Group developed Precision, an advanced risk management technology. Precision has been successfully used across Etraveli Group’s online travel agency brands, screening multibillion-dollar transactions in more than 200 countries. This cutting-edge technology is now available to the broader travel industry, helping travel sellers and airlines mitigate fraud risks.

According to RSA Security and Juniper Research, 46% of all fraudulent transactions occur in the airline industry, and half of travel payments leaders identified fraud as their biggest challenge in Amadeus’ latest Travel Technology Investment Trends research. The Precision solution screens transactions made with various payment methods in real-time, enabling travel companies to identify and address fraudulent activities accurately. By utilizing multiple technologies, Precision provides a direct decision to approve or decline a transaction or apply targeted 3D Authentication, ensuring a smooth payment experience for travellers.

Earlier this year, Etraveli Group and Outpayce’s parent company, Amadeus, agreed on a strategic initiative allowing the two companies to access each other’s travel content. Amadeus will source and distribute selected content from Etraveli Group, including virtual interline options from Etraveli Group’s subsidiary TripStack, to its travel sellers network. Under the terms of the agreement, Amadeus will become Etraveli Group’s primary source for New Distribution Capability (NDC) content.
