After last year’s successful launch of Southeast Asia’s first “destination camp” for children within a resort, AYANA Bali has announced its updated nature-inspired children’s programs, running throughout the upcoming mid-year school holidays and beyond. For the engaging and immersive streamlined programs, AYANA Bali has continued collaborating with two global leaders in holistic childhood education: Guidepost Montessori and Green Camp Bali.
Guidepost Montessori: Enabling children to flourish (ages 2.5-6)
With a mission to guide, empower and nurture curiosity, independence, and academic excellence in younger children, Guidepost Montessori is a leading global network of schools which serves children from infancy through adolescence. Guidepost Montessori AYANA Bali, the world’s first destination school, combines Montessori philosophy with the natural beauty and cultural richness of Bali. The school offers a unique and immersive educational environment for children to explore and learn through the 2-day or 4-day Guidepost at AYANA Adventure Camp, offered year round.
Led by seasoned Montessori professionals within an enriching bilingual environment of English and Mandarin Chinese, the program maximizes the unique expanse and features at AYANA Bali, encouraging children to delve into the island’s vibrant culture and complex ecosystem. From the white sands of Kubu Beach, where sessions investigate marine life, to SAKA Museum, where traditional and contemporary Balinese arts come alive, to AYANA Farm, where children explore the growth cycle of local plants, each location provides a secure and exciting space for immersive learning.
Suitable for kids aged 2.5-6 years old, the Adventure Camp runs from Tuesday to Friday from 8.30am to 1pm. For long-term Bali residents and guests of AYANA, Guidepost Montessori offers a year-round academic program, Children’s House, with half day and full day offers available.
Green Camp: Nature-based learning (ages 7-12)
For children aged between 7 and 12 who are eager for day-long adventures, AYANA Bali presents Green Camp AYANA, in collaboration with Green Camp Bali, one of the world’s greenest and most purpose-driven camp experiences.
Offered from Tuesday to Saturday from June 18 to August 31, the goal of Green Camp AYANA is to transport children from their daily routines into the wonder and wisdom that exists within them and the world around them. Designed by experienced facilitators, the diverse activities — from exploring the organic abundance of AYANA Farm to kayaking through mangrove forests — will cultivate life skills, boost sustainability awareness, and empower participants to engage more mindfully with themselves, others and the environment.
“Since AYANA’s beginning, we have remained steadfastly committed to not just accommodating families, but to providing younger guests with innovative, exciting and enriching holiday experiences that go above and beyond regular children’s programming,” says Giordano Faggioli, General Manager of AYANA Resort. “Our dedication to crafting the ultimate family vacation was recognized on a global scale late last year when our family-focused resort, RIMBA by AYANA Bali, was named Asia’s Leading Family Resort by the World Travel Awards,” he continues. The 2023 listing was the fourth time the tropical gardens-inspired resort had been honoured in the same category.
“With our updated Guidepost at AYANA Adventure Camp and Green Camp AYANA, we are inviting younger guests staying with us during the school holidays to immerse themselves in our spectacular natural environment and leading cultural facilities, and to discover this extraordinary island we call home,” Faggioli concludes.
