AREA15 announces “The Lab,” the brand-new interactive attractions and gaming hub housing an array of tech-driven games and experiences, including AREA15’s first-ever proprietary IP innovations. These enthralling additions cement the award-winning experiential entertainment district as a leader in the global attractions industry, while staying true to its promise of providing new forms of entertainment where guests can customize their own futuristic fun like nowhere else.

Leaving traditional theme parks in the past, AREA15 offers visitors of all ages the opportunity to design their own adventure, blending state-of-the-art technology with creative storytelling and an ever-changing roster of new offerings. The Lab’s array of virtual reality and augmented reality attractions provides a diverse range of experiences, ensuring there is something uniquely exciting for every guest, young and old.

The centerpiece of AREA15’s new experiences is its proprietary gaming adventure, Origin Quest, a pioneering, narrative-driven scavenger hunt inviting guests to unravel the enigmatic origin story of AREA15. As part of the Multiverse Maintenance crew, adventurers will team up with the quirky duo Newt and Ritchie to uncover secrets and solve intricate puzzles. Using their smartphones, guests navigate through six stations scattered throughout the district, each revealing a piece of the puzzle about Particle A15 – the force that makes this place so special – and piece together the story of how AREA15 came to be.

Other new state-of-the-art attractions located inside The Lab include:

  • AR Dodgeball – Guests can engage in a dynamic virtual dodgeball game, where augmented reality glasses bring digital obstacles and power-ups to life in an unparalleled athletic showdown.
  • Bot Breach – Another AREA15 IP innovation, Bot Breach tasks visitors with defending AREA15 in a virtual reality world from a seamlessly harmless robot, using blasters to halt its advance and transform its rage into a joyous dance-off.
  • Laser Maze – Guests demonstrate their agility and strategic prowess, maneuvering through a maze filled with lasers, where each movement could be the difference between success and setting off an alarm.

Additional AR/VR experiences within The Lab include:

  • Birdly  A virtual reality attraction that mimics every aspect of the avian experience, giving the sensations of the wind beneath your wings and providing a bird’s-eye view of some of the richest landscapes in the digital world.
  • OZ Ride – This recently transformed experience offers guests a choice of adventures while seated in a sensory-enhancing chair that renders virtual worlds with breathtaking 3D effects.
  • Grand Prix Racing Sims – Racing enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a virtual Las Vegas circuit, experiencing the sensation of driving an F1 car through a meticulously simulated environment.

“AREA15 is not just redefining what an entertainment complex can be but also setting a new standard for what an amusement park should offer,” said Winston Fisher, chief executive officer, AREA15. “We’re expanding upon the brick-and-mortar, immersive and interactive attractions AREA15 has become known for into a new, personalized playground of the future—a distinctive, digitally augmented world where each visitor can design their own unique adventure. With Origin Quest and our array of immersive attractions in The Lab, we offer an environment where the extraordinary becomes the expected and every visit is an unparalleled adventure in storytelling and innovation.”

The Lab’s collection of interactive, tech-driven attractions is joined by Netflix’s Army of the Dead VR Experience, which debuted earlier this spring. Participants join forces with the Las Vengeance crew to navigate through a zombie-ridden Las Vegas, experiencing the thrill of a VR zombie-shooting adventure from the confines of a tactical taco truck. This experience is located on the AREA15 campus south of the main building.

Tickets to the new attractions inside The Lab can be purchased individually or as part of the AREA15 Experience Passes. For a limited time this summer, the Level 2 Experience Pass offers four passes for the price of two, retailing at an extraordinary value of just $200. These passes include admission to 14 different experiential attractions, plus special offers on other AREA15 offerings, and make an excellent way for families to explore and enjoy the entertainment district together.
