The UK’s leading, award-winning river cruise line, Riviera Travel River Cruises, has raised the bar with the launch of two brand new river cruise ships – Riviera Rose and Riviera Radiance.
Both Riviera Rose and Riviera Radiance combine modern amenities with timeless charm, as guests enjoy an enchanting experience while traversing Europe’s most scenic waterways. From meticulously crafted interiors to unmatched personal service in an understated luxury setting, these magnificent new ships embody the cruise line’s continued commitment to excellence.
Riviera Travel River Cruises, Head of Product, Will Sarson, commented, “The launch of Riviera Rose and Riviera Radiance marks an exciting new chapter in our history and reaffirms our position as an award-winning leader in luxury river cruising across Europe. Guests can look forward to memorable journeys on board our two new five-star ships guaranteed to set a new benchmark in the river cruising industry – not only in Europe but across the world.”
He added, “Interestingly, guests will note our step away from traditional naming conventions that previously paid ode to famous authors. Instead, our new ships proudly feature our brand name ‘Riviera’ at the forefront, reflecting a true sense of luxury and elegance that has become synonymous with the Rivera brand.”
Standing proud at 80 metres long, Riviera Rose is a beautifully crafted ship with cabins and amenities spread over four decks. This brand new, state-of-the-art ship offers first-class service with its luxurious interiors and elegant spaces, giving guests the opportunity to unwind and enjoy every moment on board.
Riviera Rose has 57 cabins, over three decks, including four balcony suites, with a passenger capacity of 114. Guests are looked after by 38 crew members who are dedicated to delivering personalised service and attention to every detail. Each cabin and suite is fitted with individually controlled air conditioning, a modern bathroom with a rain shower, French balcony with sliding doors or fixed windows, a flat screen TV and twin or double beds.
Riviera Radiance is the first in a new style for Riviera Travel River Cruises. With three full decks, plus a sun deck, guests can enjoy even more space on board, including the addition of a third new restaurant, Mosaic, a revolutionary dining concept that celebrates the essence of European rivers through an exclusive tasting menu with inspired flavours from the region’s diverse landscapes. Each course at Mosaic offers a selection of bite-sized delights from the rivers of Europe.
Adding to the allure, the ship also boasts a split-level lounge and restaurant, ingeniously designed to evoke a sense of openness and grandeur. Furthermore, Riviera Travel River Cruises unveils its largest suites to date, Grand Suites, offering an expansive 32 square meters of luxurious living spaces with a separate lounge area as well as balcony with seating, redefining the standards of comfort and indulgence.
With just 89 cabins and a passenger capacity of 178, served by 44 attentive crew members, this five-star ship has a raft of amenities including a wellness centre, swimming pool, three restaurants, individually controlled air conditioning and more.
Riviera Radiance is also the cruise line’s first ship that qualifies for Gold Standard on the Green Awards programme for shipping, giving guests even more confidence knowing their holiday will have minimalised environmental impact.
With attentive crew members that anticipate every need along with exquisite fine dining experiences and personalised excursions, Riviera Travel River Cruises offers a slow-paced and relaxing way for guests to explore some of Europe’s most exquisite rivers.
Luxurious suites and cabins, included excursion in every port, fine dining cuisine and a dedicated cruise manager and concierge ensure that every moment on board is an unforgettable experience.
Scheduled to start operating from 2025, the addition of the two new ships will take Riviera’s fleet to 14 five-star luxury ships, which are some of the youngest in Europe and feature an array of exceptional onboard facilities at true value-for-money fares that are much lower than similar itineraries on other cruise lines.
In celebration of its 40th year in 2024, Riviera is offering huge savings of $1,000 per person on all 7-night cruises and $1,500 on 10 to14-night cruises in 2024 and 2025. In addition, guests can take advantage of the complimentary superior drinks package (worth $770 per person per week) on all European river cruises departing in 2024 and 2025 when booked before 31st March 2024.
