Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) is celebrating its 28th annual event at the Energy Events Centre in Rotorua. The event will begin with a dazzling welcome ceremony at the Sir Howard Morrison Centre on 18 June, setting the stage for two days of intensive networking and collaboration.

BEIA Chief Executive Lisa Hopkins emphasizes the unique appeal of Rotorua, the birthplace of New Zealand tourism. “MEETINGS 2024 is not just a trade show; it’s a congregation of minds in our cultural heartland. This year, we’re bringing together the best in the business to celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year, in a place deeply ingrained in New Zealand’s heritage,” Hopkins remarks.

The event offers a comprehensive programme for fully hosted buyers, including 26 appointments over two days from up to 200 exhibiting organizations. Hosted buyers, crucial decision-makers in the business events sector, will enjoy complimentary transport courtesy of Air New Zealand and Johnston’s Coachlines, luxurious stays in one of eight premier hotels, and exclusive access to social events.

This year’s particular highlight is the collaboration with Hobbiton™ Movie Set Tours, featuring a visit to the newly unveiled Bagshot Row™. Host city Rotorua also offers an unmissable destination familiarization on 18 June, with additional post-event tours in the scenic regions of Waikato and Taupō.

A unique feature of MEETINGS 2024 is the Matariki dinner on 19 June, which encapsulates the essence of New Zealand’s rich culture and offers an unparalleled networking opportunity.
