Spread the love

As 2024 approached and a busy year came to an end, I (like many of you) was really looking forward to a cruise over Christmas and New Year. I was fortunate to join a group of Travel Industry Club members onboard the Regent Seven Seas Explorer. Though we embarked as fellow TIC members, we disembarked the vessel in Auckland as friends. Apart from enjoying the rare opportunity of spending time with my members, The Christmas and New Year festivities arranged by Regent were just two of the highlights of this amazing cruise. The joy of being back at sea, the luxury of no cooking, cleaning etc was a pure delight and a sentiment echoed by many. Unpacking just once and Regent brought Tasmania and New Zealand to us, with everything included – laundry, all alcohol, specialty coffees, shore excursions, entertainment, but I think the stand out was the service.

A couple of comments from our members:

  • “I sailed on the Regent Seven Seas Explorer over the Christmas -New Year period and would highly recommend this line. It was a faultless, all inclusive, cruising experience excelling in all aspects of cruising such as food, service and staterooms.” Alan
  • “My partner Luke & I recently travelled on the Regent SS Explorer from Sydney to Auckland over the Christmas period. It was an unforgettable experience…for all the right reasons! Our cabin was spacious & well appointed, on-board service from staff & crew was extremely proficient & friendly, & the dining outlets (apart from the Italian Sette Maria which was disappointing) served exceptional food & wines. But best of all, Regent remove all the stress involved in cruising by including in their fare tips (gratuities!), laundry (so beautifully folded & packaged!) & the cost of (most) excursions! All I know is that, from my hotel room in Auckland, I watched the “Explorer” sail away at 6 pm that evening. I cried because someone else was occupying our cabin on our ship! Such was the effect our cruise on the “Explorer” had on me. Please don’t tell too many people about the Regent cruise line. It’s our secret!” – Arthur

Some of the Gang! I apologise in advance for the quality of the photos.
