Aerial of The BreakSoak up the sun this school holiday season at Gumbuya World Theme Park, Victoria’s ultimate hot spot, with the thrilling Oasis Springs Water Park, rollercoasters, wildlife and shows all rolled into one.

There’s nowhere else in the state where you can interact with a koala and see its joeys, then reach speeds of nearly 70km/h on a rollercoaster, before rounding the day off with a plunge down one of the epic water slides.

Gumbuya World’s Water Park, Wildlife Encounters, and heart-pounding rides await you every day from 10am to 6pm, from December 26, 2023 to January 29, 2024.

Just a 50-minute drive from the Melbourne CBD, Gumbuya World Theme Park is taking summer to a whole new level. Unlimited water, wildlife and rides are included in the one ticket.

Strap yourselves in for the ride of a lifetime on TNT, the explosive new suspended family rollercoaster, or the Project Zero Skyloop, perfect for thrill-seekers ready to brave a ride of intergalactic proportions. Launching from a top-secret space station, riders are boosted 50 metres into the sky at speeds of more than 100km/h and taken on two loops, meaning they experience the kind of G-forces NASA astronauts endure travelling to space.

The two new rollercoasters, which opened as part of Gumbuya World Theme Park’s $40 million facelift last summer are just a glimpse of what the future has in store for the Tynong site. The park also has a range of rides suitable for all ages.

After riding high, cool down at the expansive water park. Whether you’re leisurely floating down the Lazy River, catching waves in The Break or daring to descend one of the eight waterslides, there’s aquatic fun for all. Round off the water adventures at tropical Typhoon Island, or unwind in our inviting pools or a poolside cabana.

Our expert senior handler, Ranger Benny, is your go-to guide on the Wildlife Trail. With a decade of experience in wilderness survival and fitness, Ranger Benny will introduce you to over 50 diverse species of wildlife.

“It’s the time of year for koalas to emerge from the pouch. We’ve got two joeys on the deck right now with one already out and about,” Ranger Benny said.

“My favourite feeds to do are the Tassie Devils when they are in full crazy mode, a super-hungry quoll on the prowl, and of course the venomous snakes.”

Across summer Ranger Benny and his expert team will be providing icy treats to help the wildlife navigate the hot weather.

“Feeding time is one of the most interactive and interesting times to see our animals show their natural instincts, and it also guarantees a time when you can ask the zookeepers all the questions,” Ranger Benny said.

“One of my favourite things to do is grab a big python and go for a wander into the waterpark and just have fun with the guests. Or take the dingoes for a swim in the wave pool on those super-hot summer days.”
