New for Riding Mountain National Park
Riding Mountain National Park is an all-season hub for locals and visitors alike. In summer, eat, shop and sunbathe in the charming Clear Lake town site, or hike Gorge Creek or Bald Hill for the most scenic views of the park’s backcountry. Nestled in the heart of Wasagaming, the Stowaway Inn has just reopened following extensive renovations. Originally built in the early 1930s, the quirky inn and restaurant is ideally placed for outdoor adventures in Riding Mountain National Park.
For off-grid luxury, the newly opened Turtle Village offers the ultimate glamping experience in beautiful Wasagaming campground. These Indigenous-owned tiny homes, called Turtle Shells, are solar powered and dog friendly, offering the best in off-grid accommodation. New wilderness experiences
Wild Loon Adventure Company, the experts in back-country adventures in Manitoba, is offering a 13-day paddling journey along the Bloodvein River during summer. This 200 kilometre+ trip takes you down Manitoba’s first Canadian Heritage River in the heart of the dual UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pimachiowin Aki (meaning ‘the land that gives life’), with the Bloodvein River flowing into Lake Winnipeg through Atikaki Provincial Park.

GETTING THERE
Air Canada offers daily direct flights to Vancouver from Sydney and direct flights between Brisbane and Vancouver four times per week. Direct flights from Sydney to Vancouver are also available on Qantas. Daily connecting flights are available from Vancouver to Winnipeg, in addition to the VIA Rail train service.
