Crown Sydney has today unveiled Sky Deck, a free observation platform that stands 249 metres above the spectacular Barangaroo precinct. From the 83rd floor, visitors will be able to view the harbour city’s spectacular landmarks and hidden gems, including both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, while also learning about the history of Barangaroo.
As one of the last offerings to open at Crown Sydney, Crown Sydney’s Chief Executive Officer Simon McGrath said Sky Deck adds to Crown’s already extensive list of world-class experiences.
Situated 83 floors above the world’s most iconic harbour, Sky Deck offers 180-degree views of the city skyline and glistening waterfront below and will be available for free to visitors from 26 February 2022.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to give back to our city by providing a viewing platform that truly showcases the best that Sydney has to offer,” Mr McGrath said.
The free Sky Deck tours will start outside Cro
wn Sydney’s Il Café, where guests will be greeted by the concierge and ushered to waiting elevators to start their journey to Level 83. Upon arrival to Sky Deck, a 5-minute informative video will be played to highlight the significant history of the Barangaroo land and educate visitors on the design and structure of Crown Towers Sydney. At the conclusion of the video, a curtain will automatically open to reveal Sky Deck and the extraordinary view, and guests can access the open balcony vantage point.
Visitors will be treated to uninterrupted views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House from never-before-seen vantage points. On a clear day, surroundings such as Manly Beach, North Head and Shark Island will also be visible.
Sky Deck will offer six free daily guided tours with the first tour taking place at sunrise and the final tour taking place at sunset.
