Marriott International, Inc., today announced the appointment of Ming Choo Ling as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for its Asia Pacific Excluding China (APEC) region. In this senior leadership role, Ming Choo will serve as an integral member of Marriott’s APEC and Global Human Resources leadership teams, driving its people-first strategy across one of the company’s most dynamic and diverse regions.

Ming Choo brings more than 25 years of distinguished HR leadership experience across Asia and global markets. Most recently, she served as CHRO for Home Care Greater Asia at Unilever, where she partnered with senior business leaders to strengthen organizational and leadership capability, develop future-ready talent, and lead large-scale transformation across diverse markets. Throughout her career, she has held country, regional, and global HR leadership roles, enabling business growth through people while helping organizations navigate periods of change.

With more than 760 hotels across 27 brands in 22 markets and territories, Marriott’s continued growth in APEC is matched by an equally strong commitment to strengthening its culture, developing leaders and creating opportunities for its associates. Based at Marriott’s APEC regional headquarters in Singapore, Ming Choo will lead the region’s leadership and talent strategy, advancing three strategic priorities: Growing Great Leaders, Investing in Associates and Expanding Access to Opportunity. In this role, she will   strengthen the capability of close to 116,000 associates across APEC that will shape Marriott’s next phase of growth.
