Travel Compositor has shifted artificial intelligence from the engine room to the shopfront. The Spain-based travel technology company has placed AskIA on the front end of its AI Trips platform, where agents can use plain language to build and book a complete journey.
Instead of working through a maze of filters, tabs and look-alike offers, an agent can simply describe the trip. It might be a three-week tour of Japan, a family beach break, or a city stay centred on food and art. AskIA then creates a tailored plan and selects the services needed to make it bookable.
That is rather like asking a skilled consultant to “sort it out”, except this one does not need coffee, lunch or a familiarisation trip.
The platform can bring together flights, hotels, transfers, tours, insurance, car hire, rail, tickets and other travel products. Travel Compositor says the whole booking can be finished in as few as three clicks.
The real prize for travel sellers is not speed alone. It is the chance to remove doubt at the point where a customer may pause, compare too many options or leave the booking.
Online travel has spent years giving people more choice. It has not always made choosing any easier. Travel Compositor’s AskIA aims to cut through that clutter, find the right services and turn a broad idea into a clear, sale-ready itinerary.
Customers in Travel Compositor’s Premium Innovator programme will be the first to use the feature. Access will be free at launch, allowing these businesses to test the tool across their own sales channels.
The company has also added Smart Filter to hotel and transport result pages across its booking engines. The feature is designed to bring the most useful options to the fore, so users can reach a sensible shortlist without wading through page after page of inventory.
For agents and tour operators, the business case is plain: fewer clicks, quicker quotes and a smoother path to payment. For travellers, it means less time staring at search results and more time deciding whether the beach should come before the vineyard.
Travel Compositor is part of Travelsoft, a global travel software group. Travelsoft builds platforms that help travel firms manage bookings, connect content and improve day-to-day efficiency.
AskIA is therefore more than a chatbot fixed to the side of a booking engine. It places the conversation inside the sale itself. That could change how complex trips are planned, priced and bought.
Of course, the tool will be judged on the quality of its choices, the accuracy of its content and the trust it earns from agents. Yet the direction is clear. Travel booking is becoming less like filling in a form and more like speaking with an expert.
And, with luck, that conversation will end with a confirmed itinerary rather than another 37 browser tabs.

Sandra has spent a working lifetime quietly rescuing journeys, one itinerary, one anxious caller, one impossible connection at a time. Years in Australia’s finest travel agencies taught her the art of calm, how to find a flight in a fog of cancellations, how to soothe a traveller when luggage wanders, how to turn nine frantic days in Europe into something resembling sense. Qualified, seasoned, endlessly patient, she learned that good travel advice is part logistics, part listening.
But the storyteller in her was always waiting for her turn. Writing offered a new map, a way to turn experience into reflection, detail into delight. At Global Travel Media, Sandra now writes the truths only insiders know: the mishaps, the laughter, the grace found between gates and goodbyes. She reminds us that travel, for all its fuss, is still one of life’s better ideas.
