If you ever needed proof that some resorts still believe in saying thank you, look no further than Six Senses Fiji. While half the travel world is busy automating its booking engines and trimming commissions, the island’s luxury outpost has gone the other way, offering travel agents a good old-fashioned 20% commission for doing what they do best: booking holidays that actually happen.
Yes, you read that correctly. Twenty per cent. Not in points, tokens, or “brand loyalty currency”, but in real commission.
The promotion, politely titled the Two Bookings Bonus, rewards any agent who makes two new reservations — in any mix of villas or residences for travel between 1–15 December 2025, 4–31 January 2026, or 1–27 March 2026. Each stay must be at least four nights, and no, you can’t make them back-to-back and call it two. That’s not the Six Senses spirit.
Bookings are open until 23 March 2026, and the resort will happily accept them the traditional way by emailing [email protected]. A friendly “Vinaka vakalevu” (thank you very much) awaits at the bottom of the confirmation note.
A Rare Nod to the Trade
This is a refreshing throwback in an era when some global chains have quietly forgotten who fills their rooms. Six Senses seems to remember that travel agents, not algorithms, sold Fiji’s dream long before influencers discovered its hammocks.
The resort’s logic is disarmingly simple: make two bookings, earn more. It’s the kind of arithmetic that even a weary consultant juggling multiple itineraries can get behind.
And behind the figures sits a bit of old-school gratitude. The extra five per cent, taking the total from 15 to 20, isn’t just a bonus; it’s a handshake from a resort that knows the trade is still its best storyteller.
Why It Matters
Fiji remains one of Australia’s most consistent short-haul successes, and Six Senses Fiji is hardly short of admirers. With its solar panels, wellness villas and sundowners that could make a poet weep, it doesn’t exactly need to beg for attention. Yet by offering something tangible to the people who sell dreams for a living, the resort is playing the long game, building loyalty the human way.
It’s a small gesture, but one that speaks volumes: reward professionalism, and you’ll never struggle for bookings.
Final Word
So, if you’re an agent who thought the age of decent commissions had gone the way of paper tickets, take heart. Somewhere in the Mamanucas, a resort still pays in appreciation and cash.
And if that doesn’t make you smile while you’re sipping your flat white over the following client quote, nothing will.

About the Author
Charmaine has always had a quiet kind of courage. She grew up in Shanghai, a city that moves at a tempo all its own, and somehow managed to keep her own rhythm studying accounting for the discipline, then the arts for the sheer love of beauty. “I needed both,” she says, “to feel whole.”
When she left China for Sydney in the 1980s, she carried nothing but a degree, a suitcase and a belief that she could start again. The first sea breeze off the harbour felt like permission. She met Stephen, and together they built a family, two children, a home filled with laughter, and a life straddling two cultures without apology.
Work has always been more than a job. Before search engines became the centre of commerce, Charmaine was quietly helping companies be found and read—not just SEO but stories people wanted to click on. That is still her gift: finding connection in a crowded world.
Her life is less a résumé than a testament to grace under change, the accountant’s discipline, the artist’s eye, and a heart big enough for two continents.
