Spread the love

Six Senses Fiji is proud to announce the launch of its Climate Warrior Program, a pioneering initiative designed to inspire and empower younger guests to engage with the environment in a fun, educational and transformative way.

Part of a brand-wide Six Senses initiative, the Climate Warrior Program is tailored to each destination’s unique setting. At Six Senses Fiji, children aged 6-13 can now enjoy an immersive experience that blends play, discovery and conservation –ideal for guests staying three nights or more.

The program follows a three-part format:

  1. Learn: Children explore climate change, ecosystems and human-environment interactions through quizzes, creative games, art and experiments at the resort’s Earth Lab.
  2. See: Observe sustainability in action – from renewable energy and composting to upcycling initiatives.
  3. Do: Become part of the solution through practical eco-actions, culminating in earning a Climate Warrior Certificate.

Highlights at Six Senses Fiji

As part of the program, children will participate in the following initiatives, guided by the resort’s Grow with Six Senses and Sustainability teams:

  • Play Climate Action Bingo, learning about climate change in an engaging and interactive way.
  • Explore the vibrant coral reef, discovering its importance to marine health and resilience.
  • Learn about habitat preservation while planting native trees and supporting the critically endangered Fijian Crested Iguanas.
  • Participate in hands-on conservation activities, such as composting, paper-making and discovering ‘bug hotels.’
  • Take on fun challenges like taking a super quick shower, encouraging water conservation.

The Climate Warrior Passport

Every child joining the program receives their own Climate Warrior Passport – a keepsake booklet filled with interactive missions. Each completed activity earns a stamp, turning sustainability into an adventurous quest. Once all challenges are completed, children are celebrated with a certificate, officially making them Climate Warriors.

Unique to Fiji, the Climate Warrior Program distinguishes Six Senses Fiji as the only resort in the country offering such a hands-on, family friendly sustainability initiative. Children are able to take part in meaningful projects that protect and preserve the natural world.

“Education is a powerful catalyst for change and when delivered in a playful and engaging way, it can be truly transformative. We want the children to learn that protecting the planet can be fun too,” said Alisi Tuivuna, Experiences Manager leading the Grow With Six Senses program. “Through the Climate Warrior Program, we hope to inspire our younger guests to become future leaders in conservation and climate action.” said Raquel Saavedra Dias, Sustainability Director at Six Senses Fiji.
