Thredbo has been transformed into a true winter wonderland, with 20cm of fresh snow overnight, bringing the current storm total to 32cm – and it’s still falling! A thick white blanket now covers the village, setting the perfect scene for unforgettable July conditions.
With the July School Holidays in full swing, guests are already enjoying a jam-packed schedule of family-friendly events, on and off the mountain. Now, the fresh snowfall has added a magical new layer to the experience, creating unforgettable winter memories for families, snow lovers, and powder hunting enthusiasts.
The storm is expected to linger until Friday 11 July, with another significant front forecast early next week – promising more snow and more powder days to enjoy. With 32cm already on the ground and more on the way, the Thredbo mountain team are working around the clock to open even more terrain as quickly and as safely as possible.
Looking Forward
The timing of the snowfall couldn’t be better, laying the perfect foundation for a massive July and August. From Project Shred for up-and-coming riders, to Thredbo turning pink in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia, the July Kids Snow Festival continuing to deliver family fun and Uni Week ramping up for late July – the mountain is gearing up for a season-defining stretch of events.
