FCM Consulting - logoThere’s a knock at the door, and for once, it’s not a guest asking if breakfast is included. It’s NSW Treasury, tray in hand, inviting accommodation providers—yes, you—to pull up a chair at the government table for its 2025–2027 Accommodation Program.

The Request for Proposal (RFP), which officially throws open the guestbook from 26 June 2025, isn’t just another bureaucratic buzzword. It’s a genuine opportunity, especially for the often-overlooked inns, motels, and lodges that add character to regional and remote New South Wales.

If you’re a hotelier with a soft spot for starching pillowcases and a postcode that isn’t Sydney, this could be your golden turn-down service. The government’s calling on you to help expand its accommodation inventory, with a firm eye on the bush, the coast, and those sunburnt corners not always spotlighted on travel brochures.

The RFP, to be issued via CVENT (yes, you’ll need a login—and likely a strong coffee), is being managed by FCM Consulting. They’re the ones making sure the government’s overnight stays are more “home away from home” and less “do we have to stay here?”

You’ll need to get your paperwork sorted before 5 pm AEST, 9 July 2025. That’s the deadline for submissions via CVENT, so do set a calendar reminder—or better yet, tattoo it on your barista’s forearm.

There are also supplier briefings on the horizon, perfect for anyone who likes a bit of bureaucratic banter over tea and biscuits. All RFP requirements and briefing schedules can be found on the NSW Government Accommodation RFP Portal (that’s your one-stop shop for all the fine print and footnotes). It’s a smart move. With regional travel booming and government foot traffic increasing outside the metro sprawl, this is more than just a contract. It’s a partnership. And possibly a path to more pillow mints.

So, dust off the brochures, fluff those pillows, and roll out the red carpet for the state’s most dependable guest—the New South Wales Government.
