Farnek - LogoIn a year already shaping up as a bonanza for Gulf tourism, Dubai-based facilities management (FM) powerhouse Farnek has laced up its boots and marched into 2025 with AED 10 million in fresh hospitality contracts—and we’re not even halfway through the calendar.

Yes, that’s right. The UAE’s booming hospitality scene is proving fertile ground for Farnek’s bright, green and seriously sharp operations. To meet demand, 330 new staff have been deployed across the Emirates, nudging Farnek’s total workforce to over 10,000. That’s not just growth—it’s a fully-fledged hospitality army.

“We’re not just growing—we’re flourishing,” said Tamer Bishay, Director of Business Development at Farnek, who’s been signing deals faster than hotel buffets are replenished at brunch. “This performance reflects not only our commitment to excellence but our ability to adapt swiftly and strategically.”

And adapt they have. The company’s newest clientele reads like the guest list to a five-star summit: Kempinski, Sofitel, JW Marriott, Millennium, Emaar, Grand Hyatt, and the iconic Atlantis Dubai—names that need no introduction and demand nothing short of exceptional service.

To that end, Farnek isn’t just sending in the troops—they’re sending in experts. Every room attendant, public area specialist, steward and technician has been carefully trained at Farnek’s dedicated in-house facility, ensuring quality, professionalism, and polish from day one.

Sustainability and Smart Tech: A Winning Combination

Farnek’s hospitality push is far more than mops and manpower. Their market approach is based on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability—a trio that has won them accolades and contracts alike.

“We’ve deliberately focused on the hospitality sector because it’s a cornerstone of the UAE’s economy and growing fast,” Bishay said. “Our clients need sustainable, tech-enabled solutions that don’t skimp on service.”

That’s precisely what they get. Through its position as the preferred Green Globe Certification partner in the region, Farnek audits properties against over 380 rigorous sustainability benchmarks. More than 100 hotels and leisure venues across 38 MENA cities have already been certified with Farnek’s help, saving 180 million kWh of energy (roughly $20 million) and two million cubic metres of water (worth around $5 million).

HITEK and Housekeeping Plus: Digital Tools with a Human Touch

Farnek’s sister company, HITEK, launched the now widely embraced Housekeeping Plus app last year. Built specifically for the hospitality industry, the app is an innovative mobile solution that streamlines operations, automates workflow, and—best of all—doesn’t require a degree in rocket science to use.

“This isn’t just digital for the sake of digital,” said Bishay. “It’s about freeing up staff to focus on what really matters—guest satisfaction, operational reliability, and maintaining standards that keep people coming back.”

Poised for the Second Half

Following a banner year in 2024 that saw Farnek snap up AED 72 million in new and retained hospitality contracts, this year’s strong showing suggests that momentum isn’t slowing—it’s accelerating.

And in a competitive landscape where every hotel, residence and resort is searching for an edge, Farnek has made its proposition crystal clear: green, clean and keen to deliver.

“Hotels today want more than fresh towels and a pleasant smile,” Bishay quipped. “They want a partner who gets the full picture—cost control, sustainability, operational depth—and we deliver that every time.”

With all signs pointing north, and the UAE’s tourism machine humming along at full throttle, one suspects Farnek’s next update will be another cork-popper.
