The Emerald City is set to commemorate a historic milestone as it marks 50 years of Seattle Pride in 2024. Known for its LGBTQ+-friendly atmosphere, Seattle invites locals and visitors to join in a month of
celebrations, culminating in the Official
Pride Parade on June 30.

Highlights of the festivities include:

The Seattle Pride Parade, featuring over 250 organisations

Pride in the Park offers performances, food trucks, and community booths

A comprehensive
LGBTQ+ Seattle Guide for year-round community support

Seattle’s vibrant LGBTQ+ culture shines throughout the city, particularly in neighbourhoods like
Capitol
Hill. Visitors can experience
drag
shows, dine at farm-to-table
restaurants, and shop vintage
fashion, all while supporting queer-run businesses. Inclusive accommodations like the
Lotte
Hotel and the Sound
Hotel welcome LGBTQ+ travellers.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Queer
Mountaineers hosts regular climb nights at local facilities, while
OutVentures
organises hiking, camping, and kayaking excursions in the greater Seattle area.

In a related celebration, the Port of Seattle will honour the city’s aviation history on 13 July with “Past
and Present: Celebrating 75 Years of Service” at The Museum of Flight.
