To ensure that Wilderness Safaris is well positioned to achieve our long-term goal to double the amount of land we help conserve, I am delighted to announce our revised EXCO team structure and welcome Simon Stobbs, Alexandra Margull and Grant Woodrow to the team.
Each role has been carefully considered to support our main business goals and objectives and put our people, partners and guests first. Together, Simon, Alexandra and Grant have an impressive 40 years worth of experience with Wilderness across all aspects of the business, from guiding and hosting guests in the early days to managing camps, concessions and regions sales, marketing, HR and more.
Simon retains his current title as Chief B2B Sales Officer and MD South Africa and will continue to play a vital role in driving our B2B strategy at an EXCO level, ensuring that our trade relationships are nurtured and grown in the best interests of both Wilderness and you, our partners. I am also thrilled to announce Alexandra’s promotion to Chief Operations Officer. In addition to supporting the MDs of our various regions, Alexandra will oversee Wilderness Air Operations and Ground Operations Wilderness Transfers, DMC ground operations and Cape Town Touring.
As Chief Business Development Officer, Grant will oversee our new Tanzanian business and many other exciting new projects in development, which we look forward to sharing with you in more detail in the coming months. Francis Antrobus role as Chief Technology and Strategy Officer sees him taking on a proactive part in Group Strategy and Technology Development. He will also Chair our Travel Shop Advisory Board.
Chief Commercial Officer Hadley Allen, Chief Financial Officer Willias Zihove and Chief Risk Management, Impact and Corporate Affairs Officer Derek de la Harpe is remaining in place. I’d like to congratulate all our EXCO team members and thank them, all our staff across the regions, and you, our valued partners, for your ongoing support and dedication to conservation tourism and hospitality.
