Fort George Hotel & Spa has been named Belize’s Best MICE Hotel 2025 by the World MICE Awards, earning recognition as one of the region’s leading destinations for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. The honor was announced during the World MICE Awards Gala Ceremony held Dec. 6 in Bahrain.
The award highlights the property’s growing leadership in the business and events market following the recent debut of its state-of-the-art Lord Ashcroft Centre, a venue offering more than 6,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. Designed to accommodate corporate groups, conferences, social events, and retreats, the center can host up to 500 guests and is divisible into two breakout rooms — Caracol Hall and Lamanai Hall — with an additional adjacent space, Altun-Ha, offering planners with adaptable layouts for meetings, workshops, and banquet-style events.

Fort George’s meetings offering includes full-service event planning, customized banquet and catering menus, and comprehensive A/V capabilities supported by on-site technical assistance. Available equipment includes high-definition digital projectors, large-format screens, conference audio systems, hybrid-meeting support, and additional enhancements for elevated presentations. The property also features multiple indoor and outdoor venues, providing planners additional flexibility across group sizes and event styles.
The recognition aligns with a period of continued growth for the property. Since opening in early 2024, Fort George Hotel & Spa has steadily expanded its offerings, most recently with the debut of the Lord Ashcroft Conference Centre in August 2025. Looking ahead, the hotel will further enhance its footprint with the addition of an all-new room tower featuring 120 guestrooms and expanded resort amenities in Fall 2026, significantly increasing its capacity to accommodate corporate groups and international travelers.
