Vietjet Thailand is reinforcing Thailand’s domestic air connectivity with the deployment of its new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, enhancing frequency, flexibility, and travel convenience across the country during the peak travel season. As part of its accelerated fleet modernization plan, the airline will have a total of 9 brand new Boeing 737-8 aircraft delivered by end of 2025, supporting up to 60 additional flights daily across its domestic flight network. With the expected additional capacity of 1 million seats during high season, the airline will strengthen its connectivity to key domestic destinations including Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, Surat Thani, Udon Thani, Hat Yai and beyond. With higher seat capacity and increased frequency, Vietjet Thailand aims to support tourism flow, regional mobility, and economic growth while offering greater choice for travelers across Thailand.

Mr. Woranate Laprabang, Chief Executive Officer of Vietjet Thailand, stated “Our Boeing fleet represents more than just capacity growth. It is a strategic step toward a new phase of regional competitiveness. As we scale up our operations, we aim to connect more cities with greater reliability, more frequencies, and seamless travel experience from domestic to regional networks. In the coming year, we will extend the Boeing fleet further, opening opportunities for new markets and allowing us to serve passengers with even greater efficiency and comfort.”

The first Boeing 737-8 commercial service is scheduled to commence on 24 December 2025, starting with the Bangkok – Chiang Mai route. Over the coming year, the airline will continue expanding its Boeing 737-8 fleet, with the aircraft being progressively deployed across Vietjet Thailand’s network to support short-haul and regional growth while strengthening Thailand’s position as a leading aviation hub in Asia.
