A new partnership between Velocity Frequent Flyer and hospitality ordering platform me&u will allow millions of Australians to earn Velocity Points when dining out and use them to lower their bill across thousands of restaurants, cafés, pubs, and bars nationwide.

With an average of one Velocity member in every Australian household, the partnership with me&u comes at a time when cost-of-living pressures continue to weigh on consumer budgets, and as Australians ramp up their Christmas dining – typically the biggest eating-out period of the year.

With the silly season fast approaching, every meal could bring Velocity members closer to their next dream holiday.

How to earn Velocity Points and Pay with Points:

With every order placed through the me&u app at more than 3,000 Participating Venues, Velocity members are a step closer to their dream holiday. By linking their account, Velocity members will earn 100 bonus Points^ and earn 1 Velocity Point for every $5 spent on eligible orders*. Plus, Velocity members can also turn Points into direct savings on their meals with Velocity’s option to Pay with Points on eligible transactions#.

Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO Nick Rohrlach said the me&u partnership reflects Velocity’s commitment to delivering more meaningful rewards.

“We’re excited to partner with me&u, bringing even more value to our members and helping to turn their next meal into their dream holiday,” Mr Rohrlach said.

“We’ve seen a 40% increase in members earning Points through non-air partners. From shopping at Myer to dining out with me&u, we’re opening up more ways for our members to earn and use their Points, on the ground not just in the air.”

me&u CEO Kim Kim Teo said dining out should feel good, especially at a time when every dollar matters.

“By partnering with Velocity, we’re giving Australians a little more back every time they order me&u – whether that’s savings on their next meal or Points towards their next holiday. At me&u, we’re focused on creating meaningful value for both venues and guests, and this partnership lets us deliver those rewards at scale. And this is just the beginning; soon, venues will also be able to offer their own bonus Point promotions, giving guests even more reason to dine out. Together, we’re turning everyday dining into real benefits for millions of Australians and making great food even more rewarding.”

NEW Insights on Aussies dining habits:

New research from me&u has revealed more than half of Australian adults have used the me&u app in the past year, totalling over a million orders every week. In that same period, the humble chicken parmi was Australia’s most ordered menu item, with nearly 2.5 million orders. Aussies also washed down their meals with more than 2.5 million litres of beer, while Aperol Spritz, Espresso Martini, Tommy’s Margarita, and Long Island Iced Tea topped the nation’s cocktail list.
