The Slate Phuket once again becomes the island’s creative heartbeat with the latest chapter in its renowned BOLD event series, Electric Kimono: Tradition Meets Vibration. This multisensory celebration of art, fashion, music, sound healing and gastronomy pushes the boundaries of imagination, merging Japan’s timeless grace with the pulse of contemporary expression.
Led by renowned Tachyon musician Kenta Hayashi, who is famous for his healing cosmic soundscapes, the event will have two components. The first is a 432Hz Quantum Deep Healing Workshop on 9th December, which will feature Violet Flame purification, white light cleansing and ATVOR technology to recentre and heal guests. The following night Rivet & Rebar, the resort’s iconic industrial-chic venue, will transport guests into a realm where Shinjuku’s neon lights and Kyoto’s craftsmanship meet with Phuket’s beauty with an evening of food, music and fashion.
Guests will enjoy a tasting of artisanal sakes rarely found outside of Japan, followed by an Electric Kimono runway show, which will redefine the meaning of tradition, with each garment transformed into a living artwork under pulsating beats and immersive projections.
Performers Dragon Sound will layer the atmosphere with hypnotic, looped soundscapes and a bamboo-electric fusion, accompanied by the ethereal dance movements of Goddess Erilia.
The evening’s culinary journey will match its visual brilliance. Guests can savour a meticulously crafted menu six-course Japanese-inspired dinner featuring Sakizuke, Otsukuri, Sushi Duo, Agemono & Yakimono, Donburi & Menrui, and a Mizumono Dessert Trio.
“BOLD is our tribute to fearless creativity,” says Krystal Prakaikaew Na-Ranong, the visionary owner of The Slate. “With Electric Kimono, we wanted to honour Japan’s deep cultural beauty, while letting it dance to the rhythm of modern innovation. It’s a reminder that heritage can evolve, and when it does, it shines brighter than ever.”
Since its inception, The Slate’s BOLD events have become Phuket’s most anticipated creative happenings, a stage where global artists, designers, and culinary innovators converge. Previous editions have explored themes including neon surrealism, avant-garde nature, and modern tribalism, with each event transforming the resort into a playground for the imagination.
Electric Kimono continues that legacy, capturing the essence of The Slate: a resort where art, design, and indulgence intertwine. It’s an invitation to experience Phuket beyond its beaches and to step into a world where creativity knows no borders.
The Slate Phuket is the only hotel in Thailand to be named amongst TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Out of the Ordinary Hotels, a title given to only the top 1% of the 8 million hotels on the platform.
