McLaren Vale, South Australia: Maxwell Wines has been awarded the Global Best Of Wine Tourism Award for Culinary Experiences, announced at a ceremony held at the Palais de la Bourse in Bordeaux, France.

Celebrating the very best in global wine tourism, the Great Wine Capitals Global Network brings together ten of the world’s leading wine regions including Bordeaux, Napa Valley, and Adelaide. The awards, which marked the 25th anniversary of the Great Wine Capitals Network, honour innovation and excellence in the wine tourism industry on an international scale.

Maxwell Wines was one of six South Australian award recipients recognised at the awards, acknowledged for redefining the cellar door experience through its culinary program, which integrates elements of Maxwell Wines award-winning restaurant into a more relaxed tasting-room setting. The Cellar Door Snack Menu, led by executive chef Fabian Lehmann, raises the bar for accessible fine-dining through a series of small plates designed to complement the wines.
