The Sri Trat Group, known for redefining Bangkok’s Eastern Thai dining scene, celebrated the debut of its newest restaurant, Sri’s Room, with an intimate media and VIP preview on 3 November 2025 at Siam Paragon.
The day marked the official unveiling of the group’s third concept—following Sri Trat on Sukhumvit 33 and Burapa by Sri Trat on Sukhumvit 11—continuing the group’s signature narrative of food, nostalgia, and design.
A Room Filled with Memories
Sri’s Room tells the story of Sri, the muse of the group’s culinary universe, at age 27—a young woman who moved to Bangkok in the 1970s to open a tailoring shop, cooking home-style dishes for her clients in the kitchen behind the counter.

This restaurant brings that story to life through a space reminiscent of the era’s Sino-Portugeses shophouses, blending vintage textures, patterned lamps light, and vintage music into a setting that feels both personal and cinematic.
“I wanted to tell the story of my mother, who used to be a seamstress, through this character of Sri Trat,” said Wongwich “Ack” Sripinyo, co-founder of the Sri Trat Group. “At the age of 27, Sri Trat opened a seamstress store in Bangkok, and I imagine her friends would bring over ingredients and she would cook for her friends based on what they brought. Today, I invited you over to eat as my house, as friends.”
The Launch Event
The launch gathered members of the press, influencers, and friends of the brand to experience over à la carte dishes that capture the flavours of the Eastern provinces.

Guests enjoyed shared plates paired with selected white and red wines from GranMonte Vineyard and Winery, alongside signature cocktails inspired by classic songs from the period.
These Thai wines from Khao Yai, recognised under the country’s Geographical Indication (GI) for their distinctive terroir, showcased the depth and sophistication of locally produced vintages — a perfect complement to Sri’s Room’s celebration of Thai flavour and heritage.
Wongwich “Ack” Sripinyo and his wife Nontawan “Taam” Chitwattanagorn representing the Sri Trat Group, offered a heartfelt toast recounting how the brand’s journey—from Burapa’s youthful wanderlust to Sri Trat’s confidence—culminates in Sri’s Room, a place “where friends drop by to eat.”

Menu & Experience
At the media preview, guests experienced a curated menu celebrating the flavours of Eastern Thailand, presented through shared-style dining and paired with GranMonte Vineyard and Winery wines from Khao Yai.
The meal began with starter bites such as Khanom Krok Praow Phed Praow Wan (Thai coconut pancakes topped with dried shrimp and curry) and Betel Leaves with Seabass, Herbs, and Peanut Brittle Salad (basically a miangkum bite with sashimi-grade seabass), followed by the tangy Spicy Salad of Unripe Mangosteen with Sweet Shrimp Paste.
Main courses captured the heart of Sri’s coastal heritage — Nam Prik Goong Siab (Trat-style chili paste with crispy shrimp), Pork Belly Stew with Chamuang Leaves, Deep-Fried Tiger Prawns with Prawn Butter, and Rice with Crab Roe Relish and Assorted Condiments, among others.
Each course was paired with a selection of Thai wines from GranMonte Vineyard and Winery, including GranMonte Spring Chenin Blanc 2024 and Heritage Syrah 2024.
Desserts brought the evening to a nostalgic close with Thai Ruby Rice Cake with Sea Salt Ice Cream and Banana and Coconut Dumplings in Fresh Coconut Milk Sauce, paired with GranMonte Bussaba Natural Sweet Wine 2024.
Complementing the dining experience was a signature cocktail program of seven drinks inspired by the melodies of the 1970s–80s — Sri’s Fashioned (Bourbon Whiskey, Chi Tea, Rose, and Orange Bitters) and Sri’s Lemonade (Kaffir Lime Vodka, Pomelo, and Calamansi).
Non-alcoholic guests enjoyed My Sassy, a refreshing blend of coconut water, roselle, rambutan syrup, and honey.
