The Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) has successfully wrapped a four-city Australian sales mission, visiting Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney over five action-packed days. Over 20 events and meetings, the mission strengthened relationships with the travel trade and media, updated partners on Palau’s offerings and aimed to inspire future visitation.

The delegation, comprised of representatives from PVA and leading Palauan hotels and experience providers; Palau Pacific Resort, Palau Sunrise Sea View Landison Retreat and Fish n Fins, who met with key travel agents and wholesalers, including Lux Voyages, Ignite Travel Group, Luxury Escapes and Entire Travel Group, as well as travel media.

A highlight was the ‘Sip and Learn’ agent training event hosted with Room-Res where PVA, where agents were treated to premium drinks and canapes throughout the evening and learnt about Palau’s appeal beyond the dive sites, from cultural experiences to discovering the UNESCO World Heritage listed Rock Islands.

During the event, two lucky agents also took home significant prizes, including eight nights at luxury resort, Palau Sunrise Sea View Landison Retreat and two nights at the blissful Palau Pacific Resort.

Director of Palau Visitors Authority, Kadoi Ruluked, said the sales mission was a fantastic opportunity to connect face-to-face with the industry and continue Palau’s momentum in the Australian market.

“Australia remains a key market for Palau, with awareness, interest and bookings from both trade and consumers continuing to build. Australia stood out as the fastest growing major market, more than doubling arrivals between January and August 2025, representing a 127 per cent increase in visitation compared to 2024.

This mission was a key opportunity for us to reconnect with the valued partners that have been core to our growth, thank them for their hard work and share what makes Palau such an exceptional destination with potential new partners.”

For agents who want to experience Palau first-hand and boost their destination knowledge, Qantas is offering a limited time self-famil fare, offering 20 per cent off base fares.
