On 5 November 2025, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok invites guests to celebrate Loy Krathong along the River of Kings, inspired by the grandeur of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Rooted in a centuries-old ritual of gratitude and renewal, the festival sees thousands gathering to float krathongs intricately decorated lotus-shaped votive floats under the full moon in honour of the Mother Goddess of Water.
Savour the magic of the night at the renowned Riverside Terrace, offering breathtaking views of the Chao Phraya River. Guests can indulge in an expansive international buffet, featuring a whole roasted pig with condiments, char-grilled blue river prawns with chilli and lime dip, and a curated selection of Japanese delicacies, Italian specialties, and signature creations from Kinu by Takagi, and Ciao Terrazza. Set along the river, the terrace combines a variety of flavours with the dynamic atmosphere of the evening, creating a truly memorable dining experience.

At Riverside Terrace, from 6 to 10:35pm, guests will experience a traditional krathong floating ceremony accompanied by Thai classical dance and puppet performances, and a live concert by the talented singer Pure Ekkapan, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the Chao Phraya River. The evening will also feature the Nai and Nang Noppamas contest, honouring the beauty and tradition at the heart of this beloved festival.
Guests may savour the artistry of Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie, featuring a seven-course menu of Hokkaido scallops, tuna chutoro, Brittany lobster, and a Loy Krathong mille-feuille, or Alex Dilling at Lord Jim’s, presenting a four-course menu of Oscietra caviar, black cod, fillet of pork, and a banana mille-feuille. Both venues offer the opportunity to dine while witnessing the fireworks, set against the majestic views of the River of Kings.
