British travel brand Antler has acquired US luxury fashion and luggage brand Paravel out of bankruptcy, marking a significant step in its ambition to build a global house of travel brands.
The acquisition came after Paravel filed for bankruptcy, and Antler successfully purchased the brand’s assets after becoming the highest bidder.
With this acquisition, Antler and holding group Strand now own and operate three distinct brands globally under the ATR Group. Each brand has their own unique DNA and positioning inspired by their domestic markets Antler (UK), Nere (Australia), and now Paravel (US).
The move strengthens Antler’s brand and product portfolio while broadening its global footprint across style, audience and location. Paravel, known for its fashion-led luggage, complements Antler’s heritage positioning and Nere’s youthful, trend-driven appeal.
“This acquisition reinforces our ambition to become a leading global house of travel brands,” said MD Kirsty Glenne. “With Antler, Nere, and Paravel under one roof, we now serve a diverse range of travel lifestyles and consumers internationally. Each brand offering its own unique voice, product range, and market appeal.”
Paravel’s brand identity will be preserved and revitalised under Antler’s leadership, with a relaunch for the brand expected in 2026. Specific timings and details of the relaunch of Paravel will be announced in due course.
