Australia’s legendary live music experience, The Blues Train, returns to Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula this spring with an exciting new format.
Kicking off on Saturday 4 October, this iconic blues experience is turning up the volume with drinks included, local grazing boxes, new day services and a line-up of established and emerging talent. After hosting over 300,000 guests across three decades, The Blues Train is set to deliver its most unforgettable season yet.
Departing from and returning to Queenscliff, The Blues Train is a progressive, roving blues festival like no other. Guests move between four carriages throughout the experience, enjoying four distinct musical acts along the way – all aboard a moving heritage train.
In a first for 2025, The Blues Train is also launching daytime shows, making the experience more accessible for visitors who prefer earlier events or who are exploring the Bellarine Peninsula by day. The times are specifically designed to coincide with SeaRoad Ferries – allowing guests from the Mornington Peninsula to travel over for the experience and back again. Guests can still expect the same electric format: four carriages, four live acts, drinks included – with even more sunshine and scenic views to enjoy along the way.

Headliners of the 2025-2026 season include crowd favourite Jungle Jim Smith, blues-soul powerhouses Safari Motel and slide guitar queen Anna Scionti. A long list of fresh and returning acts will also bring their own sound to the carriages.
Tickets include a locally made grazing box created by family-run Ocean Grove delicatessen The Olive Pit. These gluten-free boxes are available in single, double and vegan options and include a curated mix of cheeses, salami, prosciutto and accompaniments. Drinks include a range of regional beer, wine and spirits, along with plenty of non-alcoholic options, including mocktails.
According to Daniel Kay, managing director of The Blue Train, these changes represent an exciting next chapter for one of Victoria’s most iconic tourism experiences.
“We’re excited to welcome guests back aboard The Blues Train with a fresh new format that is fun, immersive, and a brilliant alternative to your usual night out.”
“This is more than a show. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that fuses heritage, music and an incredible atmosphere,” said Kay. “There’s nothing else like it.”
With over three decades of legacy, The Blues Train remains a cult favourite on Victoria’s music and tourism calendar. The upcoming season invites a new generation of guests to discover the magic.
