Discover Airlines is expanding its short-haul offering from Frankfurt and Munich next summer. In addition to the expansion of established routes, the leisure airline is focusing on hidden gems away from classic tourist hotspots with three new additions that stand out with their authentic charm, varied nature and cultural diversity.

Shannon, Larnaca and Brindisi: coast, culture and regional character

From April, Discover Airlines will be offering the only direct connection from Germany to Shannon. The city in the west of Ireland is an ideal starting point for exploring the “Wild Atlantic Way” along the west coast of Ireland. Flights depart twice a week from Frankfurt.

The island of Cyprus is also on the Discover Airlines flight schedule for the first time. From the end of March, there will be daily flights from Frankfurt and Munich to the port city of Larnaca – one of the oldest cities in the world. There will even be two flights a day from Frankfurt on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, while there will also be two daily connections from Munich on Fridays and Sundays. The routes were previously offered by Lufthansa.Discover Airlines_Shannon

In addition to Bari, Brindisi adds another Italian destination to the flight schedule. The historic port city on the Adriatic coast in southern Italy will be served twice a week from Frankfurt from June to October. Brindisi is known for the typical white villages in the surrounding coastal landscape.

Popular destinations from Frankfurt now also new from Munich

From mid-May, Discover Airlines will also be adding two more destinations to its offer from Munich: Skiathos in Greece and Evenes in Norway. Both destinations have already been served from Frankfurt for some time and enjoy very good demand. With the two new additions, the airline will be flying to a total of 12 Greek destinations and three Nordic destinations from Munich next summer. In Frankfurt, the connection to Oulu in Finland will also be expanded and offered non-stop all year round from summer 2026.

Discover Airlines will be flying to over 40 short and medium-haul destinations from Frankfurt and Munich next summer. The short and medium-haul fleet will grow by two more aircraft in spring 2026 to a total of 18 Airbus A320s, eleven of which will depart from Frankfurt and seven from Munich.
